Very good stuff radas! It is indeed nothing too much over-complicated. Practicing different changes on the setup is still the biggest factor imo. Let me just re-post the guides I posted in the PCARS thread: www.racedepartment.com/threads/assetto-corsa-car-setup-guides.99049/gridmotorsports.com/forum/league/723889049/595195175/rfactor-f1-setup-guide.pdfThey're from different games, but the the principle stays the same and can be copied 1to1 to PCARS. And I still wanna point out that I would have nothing against racing with default setups for the majority of the casual races. In a 10 or 15 min qualifying session, you don't wanna spend half the time setting up your car. Best is always to go on track and get to know the car and your lines. You don't always have to change tire pressure or camber to manage tire temps, adjusting the way you drive still plays the biggest role in it. And if you wanna setup your car properly for a event race or so, start doing it offline with Jussi's Suspension Calculator. You need a bit of time to get into it, but the outcome is definitely worth it. EDIT: Personal note from my side: I have almost 300 hours into the game and would say I know the basics of setting up your car, but it is still incredible how much faster you get by just putting practice into the car and track. I've seen it in the Go4 where we raced default setups only. Forget everything about setups, learning how to drive is the big point. I couldn't agree more iceman! Practice is still the key in terms of setups as well as racing. Knowing the lines and how the car behaves is also necessary for setting up the car properly. I believe that my document can help you guys to get the basics of setting up your car and help you to make a progress in this game Also for the true purists there is Jussi's Differential Calculator Since several drivers agree that practicing the cars and tracks are the key to success in this game, then why not use the default setups for the playlist? That will eliminate pressure on the drivers that don't have the time to get into setting up your car, and still let them compete on a similar level to everyone else. I believe that default setups will contribute to a more relaxed environment and more focused driving. Isn't that the whole point of the playlist, to hang around with other drivers and have awesome races? There will still inevitably be some racers that will see this as a championship or competition, but that's not the main concept is it? I'm all for friendly competitiveness, that's awesome and fun, but I just feel that we might scare off the more casual players if there are too many hardcore racers putting all their effort into setups. I for one, are just happy to make it through the race without crashing. Thoughts?

I like default setups, but I just really hate not being able to adjust my brake pressure and brake balance.

In 10-15 mins qualifying session you're not able to do a proper setup so it shouldn't be a problem for those who are not familiar with setting up their car

andyb3e I was planning to host with default setups anyway today. I am totally on your side. firefly you can adjust the brake bias on 90% of the cars on track even with default setups. Map buttons to increase/decrease brake bias on your wheel. For less brake pressure, push brake less hard No, I know, I sometimes have problem with steering ratios as well but default setups make things less complicated and I think people are more encouraged to join a casual playlist. If default setups are off, you always kinda get the feeling "meh, that guy is just faster because he has a better setup.." It also takes away the risk of you messing up the setup just before race. Who hasn't experienced a "uh, let me just change one thing before we start the race" and that little change made the car undriveable for the race.

I won't be there, but I'm looking forward to how it goes! Feedback would be great as well, what was good, what wasn't!

I like the idea of using default setups so it stays casual and fun. I'll add that to the OP. I also saw that fab. ICEMAN set a lobby password. I'll update the OP with a set password that all hosts will use. That way people on our friends lists can't join unless they know the password and are on TeamSpeak.
