Congratulations to firefly for claiming the event win and daarnok and MindlessRiff for their second and third place efforts respectively!Big thanks to everyone who showed up for today's event! The (unofficial) final results are given in this spreadsheetHonorable mentions go out to SteveJEWBZ for setting a wicked-fast lap of 1:52.7xx in the Gauntlet in the final. What a lap time! I will post footage from my POV when I get the chance. Results will be made official in 24 hours barring any referrals made to the event host.

Please let me know in the poll and discuss in this thread whether you'd like to see this happen. Also, I'm rendering footy on my end and expect it to be up in roughly 2 hours. |

I think it would be best to keep this fromat for a single day event.
I don't think it's possible to have enough people commit to a full champoinship. just look at MCEC secondary. So many people dropped out halfway. And today there were about 15 people. That's not a lot.

I'll tell you what I told my stream. (shameless plug) I really enjoy the format of short races. It means that there's alot of action and less boring endurance hotlapping. The idea of the Jokercar is one that I enjoyed aswell. The difference of pace between the 2 vehicles was nice because it was generally abit better but not like OP shit. However, I was unsure if the jokercars-things should be in the 'final'. The final has twice the laps and twice the points. This means that the hotlapping makes alot more difference than before and I'm not sure if you can balance the cars well enough to do something like that. Since there is such a large chancefactor in the final with the time to start for each car, crashes, getting through traffic... In the ... lets call them Heats.. that 1 second that was mentioned that the redwood gauntlet was supposedly faster didnt mean so much... its 5 seconds in the end. However, in the Final the time gained is double, yes they had to wait 5 seconds but theres so many variables on if these 5 seconds effect them that much or not. So I would like to see the final be all in the same car. OR we can have just a normal race again with normal points. Why even need a final?  Anyway, I had alot of fun with this format and the battles due to it. So thanks for hosting, I had a blast. |
