Does anyone have it ? Is it any good ? Don't expect a simulator. Then you'll get enjoyment out of it. If it's a game you mainly get for customization in the first place, you will love it, if not - very arcady and unrealistic, but probably the best NFS after NFSMW (from the ones I've played at least). We have a few people on PS4 playing it and we mostly enjoy it

Payback is a really nice game that has some minor issues (such as texture pop-in on the PS4). If you didn't really follow the game before launch then you might not want to get the game at full price, but it's certainly worth getting if you see it on sale any time soon. The handling is much improved over NFS 2015, but it's still a Need For Speed game of course, so don't expect it to feel like pCars. The car list isn't huge but there is a very good selection to choose from, and the ability to buy cars in different specifications (race, drift, offroad, drag, and runner) livens up the game by mixing up the handling. Not ever car drifts like mad, only cars you decided to make a drift build, and even then you can still quick-tune vehicles in freeroam to adjust the handling slightly. no its bad just like carbon. Genuine opinion or just a copy-paste Youtube comment from a proper cunt like I've seen about 3000 times already?

TDWPMark I have to quote you once again: If it wasn't a Need For Speed, way less people would hate on it.

Looks better than the previous Dubstep mess of a game and sort of reminds me of The Run (One I actually enjoyed from the series) but not a full price purchase for me, perhaps if I get bored waiting for the The Crew 2 to drop and there's a tasty discount.

microtransactions for upgrading are an issue for me. Probably wont buy it if it stays this way.

Microtransactions aren't necessary and Ghost have even increased payouts for races in a recent patch. I have 2 cars already at their max level and a 3rd car very very close to it, and I haven't spent a penny more than the retail price of the game.

NFS Payback is a bad NFS. The series died a while ago, just like many franchises EA tries to milk cash of. An awkward gameplay, uninspired tracks, no proper identity (feels like a mash-up of The Crew, Forza Horizon and Fast and Furious, not in a good way), a poor story-line (better not to put a story-line at all at this point), a lootbox system that ruins the progression (and, despite the game's fans, and in a similar fashion to Battlefront II, is a way to entice people to get through those damned micro-transactions), so on and on. The excellent modification possibilities and the good challenge from the police units can't overbalance all this.
And it pains me to say all that, because I've been a NFS fan since... ages, can't even remember how long.
Besides, just even the simple presence of micro-transactions (in a pay-to-win mobile game fashion at that) in a triple A game sold at full price is enough for anyone to stay away from it until it goes in sale. Don't entice big editors to keep doing that. You don't want all games (and especially solo games) to end like GTA Online, do you.

PSA currently a glitch to copy speedcards between cars
make sure the parts you want to transfer from one car are unequipped and at the top of the selectable cards select swap with warehouse and quickly go left and select performance customization select the car you want to copy parts to when you swap cars you will be on performance customization with the cards invisible use sound to pick the slot then select and select again to equip the top card you have in that slot back out and when you go back into performance customization you should see an equipped copy of the part do not unequip duped parts as they will not be reapplicable without glitching again rinse and repeat
tip the regera can only get level 18 parts so spin the wheel with part tokens on the regera if you are looking for certain brands or buffs and you will always get a max level part
