Contact. Sure, you will get asshole drivers and car pile-ups, but I feel those things are in the spirit of GTA. It helps that I'm not the salty type.

Personally I think that non-contact races are the options when playing with randoms, (you know why) but when playing with people you know contact is always the best option.

For me personally it takes the "Immersion" away, with contact on it feels like a proper race
in public Lobbys tho i defintily prefer non-contact because otherwise its just mayhem out there

The only thing that bothers me in non contact is when you have multiple people who are inside each other, It makes it very difficult to concentrate on your own car, maybe there should be an option to not show other racers but just show your position.

Only a fan of non contact on more technical tracks where placements can change often compared to more longer and less corners. Plus non contact takes the skill of passing and defending out of the picture

Non Contact is fun to me. I like the challenge of having to drive around my limits.

To me Non Contact isn't racing, its just competitive driving. Indeed. Might as well be hotlapping alone. I do non-contact only when there's 2 x rp and cash on races. I mentally flip out when I'm winning because of racecraft, and it gets taken away from me by some troll.

i like contact better because with contact you need to have race craft to be able to go fast:P however in races with randoms i would say non contact is better for obvius reasons

Most of time it's because someone leave during a race I don't mean a car just driving around from someone who left, I mean other players that sometimes can touch you while it's on non contact, like for example in first lap he can't touch you, what's normal in NC, but in second lap he suddenly can touch you, and a bit later it's back normal. It happens sometimes with some players, I think it mostly happens when racing in a big lobby. When someone leaves a noncontact race some cars may have contact for you. If you or any of the others affected respawn it will go back to noncont.

Me personally, I hate non-contact, your not busy with racing but just with which shortcut or kerb you should take, and not with battling with other people, but that’s just my opinion

"Pure racing" in a game with wiggle boosts, curb boosts, brake boosting, "short" shifting and mid-drive speed boosts? I don't get why some of this is a issue. Can't Rockstar adjust the game physics so hitting a curb does nothing, or probably more realistically slows you down? I do not understand Rockstars logic of "going over bumps makes you go faster" you get the boost over cerbs because the car will rev out because it loses traction, difficult to change that I think.

Bet they could if they really wanted to. Doesn't generate Shark cars sales though, so no focus on it.

The new handling flags, that have been introduced in the latest update, seem to be an attempt to actually fix stuff like curbboosting, MDSB and brakeboosting.
