I participated in my first race around a month ago and got lapped twice, and then lagged out half ways through the race. I haven’t raced since and lost all motivation after that really...I know how it feels.

You can’t expect to be on top-level pace, especially in an event where people practiced for, when you’re just only new to racing. It takes a lot of practice. I’d suggest to take part in the weekly playlists first such as welcome to nodo or night owl.

Why not start racing more regulary or hotlap stuff and get faster instead of giving up after 1 bad race? Pathetic attitude.

Losing can be disheartening but i dont think its worth giving up entirely on racing based off of 1 race

I believe that in this crew it's 1% winning and 99% having fun (and that's what really matters). Winning is a nice aspect, but for me it's basically a really lucky outcome. So instead of focusing on how to become the fastest, you should focus on how to get the most fun out of it. I prefer races where I had really good battles (not necessarily for 1st) over races where I just simply won by being faster than everyone else.

Race for the fun of racing, not for winning. If you have a hard time overtaking people safely, settle for trying to follow the better drivers. Just mimic what they do and follow their racing line. My 2cents.
