Is choosing the "No spoiler" option as good as choosing a custom spoiler for the Vagner (and other cars with a stock spoiler and a "no spoiler" option)? Does it also add downforce? Traction?

for most of the older cars the "no spoiler" option, if it is not the default option, counts as a spoiler. if the car doesnt have downforce, check the traction bar in LSC and see if it changes.
Newer Cars dont get traction bonuses from "no spoiler", afaik this is the case for the vagner

As far as I've seen the very first option is always the stock one, so never use that if you want improved handling. If "no spoiler" is the 2nd option or later then it'll work, like the Omnis for example.
And the LSC traction stat cant always be trusted, even when it does change. The X80 and XA-21 both have "spoiler" options (actual spoilers and engine block respectively) but neither benefit from it. This is because they already have an active spoiler, granting them improved handling even in their stock form.

From what i understand, even the cars with downforce still need some form of a custom spoiler, although its never been explained to me.

I purchased 5 RH8's. One of them came without any spoiler, the other 4 had a stock spoiler. Ive upgraded all of them except I never put a spoiler on the one that came with no spoiler originally. It feels just as fast as the others?? Maybe the stock spoiler doesn't work but the stock no spoiler does work? Its confused me a lot lol

Because Its a separate option I do think that it still gives you the traction bonus

I thought broughy said in a testing video that any option other than stock adds traction even if it does say no spoiler

I thought broughy said in a testing video that any option other than stock adds traction even if it does say no spoiler for most cars, yes. in reality every option thats not the first option gives traction, for most new cars the stock spoiler is not the first option though and because of that, gives traction

You're saying that if the 1st option on the list is the remove spoiler option then you won't get the traction bonus.. It basically depends where it is on the list?

Yes, broughy said it like that because at the time there were no ''stock spoiler'' options listed second in the upgrade list. Anything but the first spoiler option gives traction.

For cars with downforce, you could have any spoiler option to for the best possible performance for that car. Ever since the Gunrunning update, you can't have the stock spoiler option for the best possible performance for that car. This is kind of stupid because the ETR1 and the Omnis get a traction bonus by removing the spoiler.

Any car where the traction bar changes between the "No Spoiler" option and any of the other options benefits from having any option except "No Spoiler".
