Ocon was stupidly aggressive and it cost Max the win. Coupled with an idiotic Mexican marshall, who didn't know you Mexicannot fire foam into a turbo, it should have been a Red Bull 1-2 today.
Also that Maxime twitter user can fuck off. Of course we like to see passion. Images we don't like to see are foolish baguettes crashing into race leaders when 2 laps down. In fact there are famous images from F1 history of drivers doing far more than Max did:
100% a world champion, driving a French car, throwing a punch. Calm your tits, Maxine.
The stewards reviewed video evidence from the FIA’s CCTV Cameras and heard from the driver of car 33 (Max Verstappen), the driver of car 31 (Esteban Ocon) and the team representatives.
The driver, Max Verstappen entered the FIA Weigh Bridge Garage, proceeded directly to driver Esteban Ocon and following a few words, started an altercation, pushing or hitting Ocon forcefully several times in the chest.
The stewards held a hearing, in which both drivers acted appropriately and cooperated with the Stewards. The Stewards understood from Max Verstappen that he was extremely upset by the incident on track during the race and accepted his explanation that it was not his original intent to strike Ocon, but that he was “triggered” and caused him to loose his temper.
While sympathetic to Verstappen’s passion, the Stewards determined that it is the obligation of sportsmen at this level to act appropriately and as role models to other drivers at all levels and found that Verstappen failed in this respect. The Stewards therefore ordered that Max Verstappen is required to perform two (2) days of public service at the direction of the FIA within six months of the incident. (Penalty under Art. 12.3.1.c of the FIA International Sporting Code.)

Ocon was one lap down...
I would put more blame on Ocon's side as taking out the leader is a worse version of taking out your team mate, however I'm pretty confused why Verstappen didn't give him any room for the second corner. He knew Ocon was there as he defended against him going into the first corner and he was comfortably ahead of Hamilton so could afford to let Ocon go by and then use blue flags later when presumably he would have re caught him.
I’m with Positive on this one. It was a racing incident and both parties were at fault there. Of course it would’ve been nice to see Verstappen win the race over Hamilton but there’s really no point for Verstappen to go bash Ocon after the race when he himself has hit like 5 drivers this season already and ruined their race. Yes Ocon was a lap down, but doesn’t mean Max just owns the track and can drive on the line he wants without getting interrupted. Someone like Alonso would’ve done exactly what Ocon did. There’s no point for Ocon to dive in there, but if he was on the faster tire and unlapping himself, of course he’s going to go for the overtake.
