Why would we need an explanation if they never announced it in the first place? That's my point. For someone who doesn't dig for it, first they don't know a car is still to be released, and second that a DLC will come after that, meaning that for that someone, the game isn't updated anymore with hard content for nearly a month, without a single word from Rockstar on this topic. Thing is they are putting out new content on at least a bi-weekly basis. Yesterday we got new races. Even if those may not be that exciting for us it's not like nothing happened. And they really don't need to explain anything about content we shouldn't know about to begin with. Also if you want an explaination about the Jester Classic: DLC has been delayed, dripfeed stretched out to make the game not feel like it's not being updated, that's pretty much it. Also while complaining about not getting a car every single week as if you were entitled to it, you forgot that for the most part the "2 to 3 cars every 2nd week"-schedule was better for us than what you want.

That's why I said hard content: as in, actual things we can buy and play with. Not game modes. Especially since game modes like the one just released are really just stunt races locked to Issi Classic and that's pretty much it. Not a lot of people race on GTA, and even less when there's not x2 RP/$GTA coming with it. Those races will be forgotten next week. Also, I didn't say they need to explain anything about something we're not entitled to know, I said that they could, at the very least, say that they're actually doing something. Either definitely working on the next DLC (not asking for any detail about it, just that it's in the works), if they've issues with it which explains the delay, or that they're reworking the Jester Classic (one can dream) to be more respectful of the car it's based from. Dunno about you, but on my side, every single online game I've played kept its playerbase updated when stuff was being released, or when it was delayed, or even when servers were down. For example, recently the FFXIV EU servers have been down for almost 24h straight, and the devs immediately communicated about the issue and what happened, and how long it'd take to fix them. What did Rockstar do when servers went down for almost 2 days? They shut themselves down in their mutism. Ignored everyone asking what was happening. Redirecting people to useless support threads about checking your computer and internet connection. That's what I'm pointing my finger at. It's just basic communication, but also basic decency to keep your playerbase updated on what's happening. It's disrespectful not to do so. In addition to that, yes, I'm entitled to get this car, because it's in the game's files. A game I bought, with its packages and DLCs. Therefore, I'm entitled to get what I paid for, it's pretty straightforward. You might have a divergent opinion, in which case I understand perfectly and it's fair enough, but then it comes down to agreeing to disagree. But again, that's not even what I was pointing my finger at in my previous post, but the way Rockstar handles things when it comes to communicating with us. And finally, I didn't forget about that 2 to 3 cars every 2 weeks (or more). At all, in fact, because right now I'm missing the 1 car every week release rhythm that gave a much more steady flow of new stuff to buy than having huge gaps of 2 to 3 weeks of nothing to spend our money on (and alternatively nothing to do on the game, because I really doubt anyone can play the adversary modes they release for a full week, let alone for more than a day without growing bored (or deaf in the game of target assault: 'RAT-AT-AT-AT-AT')).

I don't think they need to explain that they are still working on the game for the general public. Most people will think it's still supported by them releasing new stuff constantly. And those knowing that they put the stuff into the game months ago likely get news from leakers anyways. I agree with you about them not communicating enough overall, there have been a lot of instances where they should been more up front.
When it comes to the unreleased cars I see it this way: We can't expect anything to be added to this game after all these years, we bought it so long ago we surely have gotten our share out of that 60$ or what we paid (yes they are making a ton of money with the content but that's likely not to a lot of us). I don't feel entitled to any addition to the game, and that doesn't change after the download.
I started ignoring adversary modes years ago, I tried out target assault but after half a lap I was done with it. Please don't remind me. But now I get why you'd still rather have one car per week.

Given the name of the update, it has been a real bummer for me to see these "super sport" cars not being reasonably competitive against existing ones. Of course this is due to the tweaks in the handling mechanic but in the end, it is reduced to whether the weekly released car is good looking or not.
If not doing themed events or locked game modes (like they did for the Hotring or the Issy Classic), these new cars are mostly pointless in racing which is ironic for a "Super Series Update".
Beside, I'm already full with all my garages slots and I'm having a hard time to convince myself to sell cars. I feel like I went through this update without enjoying it as much as other people. But that's still better than an umpteenth money business that is already a copy of existing ones. I'm still hoping the best for the upcoming DLC, whatever it is ...
