is was wondering if the mid-drive speed boost realy is useful in racing because you see a lot of video's on it on youtube but the boost isn't that big a all what I see from the video's. is anybody able to teel me if it is worth learning how to do the mid-drive speed boost or is it a waste of time?

It’s worth learning if you’re racing clean and very close in skill levels. If you do it wrong it’ll cost you time.

It's worth it but only in really low speed corners, so hairpins for example. Broughy included it in his video around the 11min mark

Can be helpful.
But won't be the deciding factor which makes you win or lose in Event races though.

Perfect example last week on Golden Gate GP by GLEN. I'm in a Dukes and my friend is in a Pisswasser Dominator. I catch him coming out of the last turn which is a hairpin. My front bumper is beside his rear wheel. He should easily out accelerate me and take the win but, I get the mid drive he doesn't. I won by a fender. Granted it was a casual playlist not an event but that makes no difference at all in this case.

That tells us more about the driving skill level of your friend (at least in the Domi RC) than about the usefulness of the mid-drive speed boost. Plus, Playlists are too random to mean anything anyways so, yh.

I personally don’t use it because you spend too much time on getting it perfect, and I think the effect isn’t that big

Most events last at least half an hour, what are the chances you are side-by-side with someone coming out of a hairpin on the last corner to the finish? Look at MCEC, people are relatively far from each other after racing for 90 minutes. MDSB is helpful, but it's not going to be ''that'' helpful.

You can use it after crash or on a slow speed corners. Well then why not to learn how to do that?

They are useful in drag racing and taking low speed hairpins

I don't us it either. I find on some cars it is useful while others are not.

I use it all the time but you really gotta watch your gears. If you know that you're going outta a slow corner and you just heard a shift then you can get a lotta speed in no time. It's pretty useless on fast courses. What's worse is that the new cars can't double clutch...
