DISCLAIMER: This is for PS4 members ONLY.
With this recent wave of new members due to Broughy's Youtube video, I feel like it is necessary to provide some help on how to actually find the racing you are looking for instead of the general "get verified and join discord" you're being told. In this thread I will inform you about the current state of this crew (on PS4), what Nonchalant Dominance currently has to offer, how to get involved in our community, and where to find the racing you're looking for.
After these 4-5 years of GTA in NoDo, the crew isn't as active as it used to be. Someone has probably told you "this is the place to be to find races", and as much as I'd like it to be the truth, it's not. Don't get me wrong, there are still plenty of people here who play GTA, just not as frequently as it used to be. Currently in NoDo PS4, most of the racing we do is in organised events.
Discord or Slack?
Recently NoDo has officially moved from Slack to Discord since the PC crew had to abandon TeamSpeak and needed a different communication platform with voice chats. The Slack server is still affiliated with NoDo but it's no longer our official chat client. However, the vast majority of the PS4 community are still using the Nodo Slack server (because most of us prefer Slack over Discord). This is where our events are organised and where we just chat about random things on a daily basis. This explains why you'll find an empty PS4 chat on the Discord server, because we're all somewhere else.
If you'd like to get involved in our community, meet new people, and communicate during our organised events that are hosted on the forums, the NoDo Slack server is the place to be. All the info on how to join can be found here: NoDo Retirement Home Slack Server. If you want to speed up the joining process, you could tag Blue Cube on Discord and ask for an invite.
Racing events or casual racing?
As I mentioned earlier, these days in Nodo we mostly race in organised events during the weekends, mainly because when someone is looking to race at a random moment nobody responds. If you are interested in joining one of our events, check out the Event Board.
But if you are looking for more casual races/playlists that can happen at any time, I would recommend you to join the COTM Slack server. It is owned by Cirrus5005 who used this server to host a championship a few months ago. This championship has finished, but the server is still used for people who like to do casual races/playlists on a daily basis. They also occasionally organise some impromptu events during the weekend. When joining them you are kinda expected to know what you're doing in terms of clean racing, holding your lines, racecraft, etc, but if you think you have those abilities and you're interested in joining the COTM Slack server, you can send a message to Cirrus5005 on PSN with your email address and he'll send you an invite to the server.
Welcome to NoDo and I hope you'll enjoy your time here Feel free to post some questions if you have any.
