So, here is something i just can't understand: Why is the Pariah such a scumbag?
I get that it dominates the sports class, making all other sports worthless and the class is therefore ruined. It should have been put into supers, and that's that.
But we can just not use it. In any NoDo race the rule is generally "no pariahs, no top 4 supers". Problem solved. So the only situation where the Pariah becomes a problem is where the only rules are those set by R*, i.e. when racing randoms. Where it isn't as relevant that the pariah is OP because, most of the time, catchup is on. If anything, the Pariah allows you to counteract catchup a bit so if you do a good race you are more likely to stay ahead. If you do a bad race, you get rammed. I've even found that those who choose the Pariah in a random lobby are sometimes a bit more aware of cars and racing in GTA, and therefore a bit less likely to ram you. Only a bit though..
Also, in my opinion, the Pariah is a fantastic car to drive. I can't handle it very well yet, but a fast car shouldn't be easy to handle. It should punish you for your mistakes, and reward remaining in control.
Am i missing something? Would really like to hear you guys opinions on this.

In NoDo it's not that big of a problem indeed, because we set rules for it. But the fact that we have to make rules for it is what's ridiculous. If Rockstar just put cars in the right classes, which isn't hard to do, we would have more impromptu playlists where you can just pick whatever you want.
And besides that, there are many racing communities that host playlists, generally in non-contact, where people don't care about those rules as much. Over there, if one person chooses the Pariah you're pretty much forced to use it as well. It just doesn't improve the racing community in GTA as a whole, not just NoDo.

It is weird and idiotic that the rule has to be used, but the effort required to have the rule is not proportionate to the amount of backtalk (is that the correct word?) the Pariah gets, imo.
I see your point. I have done a couple of playlists with RACE in non-contact, and it's all Pariahs and Vagners. It ends up lacking in variety. I didn't see it from this perspective when posting. I still don't think it deserves the hate, but it makes a bit more sense now. Thanks iRaymen.

The Pariah is a great car though in the wrong class.
Still though kinda funny to hear a racing community talk about variety, not like Nascar, or F-1 is all that versatile, beside the names like Ford or Chevy the cars are all otherwise the same. Even that track racing (I don't remember the name) only uses 2 or 3 groups of different cars, which isn't that different from a gta lobby of players only using the 2 or 3 top cars of a class.
But yea there is nothing wrong with the cars in of itself outside it breaks the class, so crews might ban it. It's more appropriate to be mad at the idiots at Rockstar that keeps misclassing vehicles, then it is to be mad at the vehicle itself.

I suppose the variety is what makes GTA such a great game to race in. I suppose it's a bit more like rallycross. Cars can differ, but get classed with cars of equal potency (not sure thats the right word, you get the point ) Or maybe, instead of using different setups on cars to adapt to a specific circuit, in GTA you use different cars. By that logic it would be even more annoying when you've learned what cars to use in different situations, and how to get the most out of them, and all of a sudden there's a car that renders all that knowledge useless. Similar to a mechanic who learned to tune his Volvo 240 to perfection for every single track in a tournament, only to realise the opponents are using F1 cars. I can see why that guy would dislike the guys who decided to put F1 cars in a tournament previously occupied by volvos. Nothing wrong with F1, they just shouldn't race volvos.

Ive come to notice that the Pariah performs horribly in the rain, i play in a flash gt on my homecourse (Vinewood Hills) and high level scrubs in Pariah’s get left in the dust, plus i compared my own lap time in both the Pariah and Flash GT, and the Flash GT not only felt easier to drive but also was around 5 seconds faster. Its why i specialise racing in the rain, makes the pariah seem garbage.

And another part can be explained just by you being more comfortable in the Flash GT. I will agree that the Pariah is very difficult in the rain, to the extent that my fear-of-crashing level rises to pissdom proportions. I don't know the length or benchmark times of Vinewood Hills, but 5 seconds is a lot even on a long track. Maybe there is something to acceleration as well? If Vinewood Hills is a curvy track then maybe it gets an advantage there as well..

Yes, 5 seconds is a big difference. I did not know that the Flash GT was an AWD, it feels and drives like a RWD compared to other AWD like the jester and kuruma. It performs well in the corners however gets dusted on the straights by the Pariah. To be honest i wish the Pariah didnt exist, as much as i love to drive it. Heres a link to the course that i recorded and my fastest time on the course, and why not give the course a try: youtu.be/Sk65cKsEKBE
