Grand Prix or not, my Voltic will smoke you all in a 1v1. I smoked an Adder in a straight line, I'm not scared. I guess it's to give the track a formal name, for me I usually put "Raceway" or "Speedway" in my race names if I want it to be serious, although not many NoDo members have taken up offers to race on them. My other races just have random names as not a lot of thought goes into prop positioning or whatever, I just set out where the checkpoints go and that's it. One of my races is even called Rosemary Had An Accident. I think that's an awesome name. What's the thought behind it? (What does it mean?)

I have 4 tracks named after songs: Rosemary Had An Accident (The Devil Wears Prada) Nickels Is Money Too (also TDWP) Dead On Arrival (Fall Out Boy) Black Rose Dying (Blessthefall)

Don't you know GTA is all about being creative with words and stuff? Dude, you have a lot to learn if you don't know that. *sarcasm off* Me likes Valedictorian

It's a silly trend... Grand Prix in italian pretty much translates to Big Event. Your track is not a "Grand Prix", some of the races hosted there could be described as a Grand Prix, but the track itself would either be considered a Circuit, a Raceway, an Autocross, a Speedway, a Ring, a Bahn, etc... There's even musical Grand Prix' happening in real life, which has nothing to do with racing. Naming everything a Grand Prix is nothing but poor semantics imo, and a lack of imagination. Good idee to call the tracks a ring or speedway, but grand prix comes from french since they did the first motorised race (i think it was for a newspaper). but that aside calling your tracks GP usually gets alot more randoms into the lobbies its like bait for unexperianced racers.

It's the name of a song by The Devil Wears Prada. I have 4 tracks named after songs: Great idea. Didn't even think about that just yet. *humm* *hummm* Sniff 'n the tears - Driver's seat! My next track for sure! Muscle and classics only! Yeah!

Nice choice, I'll be looking at making one or two more today, I'm sticking one around Vespucci Beach but I don't know where to stick the other one yet.

You are correct sir My apologies, just double-checked. Grand Prix comes from french and means Grand Prize. So the point is still that the Grand Prix name should be reserved for when a track is used in collaboration with an event, and the track name itself is a Circuit. Often the track used during a Grand Prix event is then also a slight modification of the usual circuit, which is why the Grand Prix tracks have all these changes over time

So Broughy1322's lsgp engurance track is a GP but the original should be called: The Lost Santos Street Circuit.

Well, if you look at I believe it's the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit it's also semantically correct to call it a Grand Prix Circuit as long as you include the circuit part, so it could be Los Santos GP Circuit for example Which would signify that the original circuit design is created for a Grand Prix event.

Yes but the endurance version has a pitlane so it is alterd compared to the normal version and i think the melbourne GP only exists during the F event. PS: this discussion is going wayyy to deep but i like it
