So I bought GTA 5 for the PC about a week ago. I want to finish the story mode before I head into online so that I can get familiar with the controls. The game runs smoothly with no problems most of the time. However, this morning it started crashing randomly. I restarted the game 5-6 times with no luck. Every time, I spawn in Michael's house, I get out, steal a car, drive a few meters and the game crashes. I have a Ryzen 5 1600 and a GTX 1050 Ti Winforce OC. The game runs at a steady 76FPS with the GeForce Experience optimized settings (mid-high). All components are running on stock speeds (for the time being:P). I have all the latest drivers. Any suggestions on what I should do? Thanks in advance!

You can check the game log but I'm not sure where it's located and even less sure it would indicate clearly the problem. You might want to check their support page first, just in case : support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/205778987If it stops after a few minutes, could it be a component that overheat while under load ? If it's GPU-related, the usual fix attempts is to perform a clean install of the drivers (ie. using DDU). I know for experiencing this myself that nVidia driver installations seems more fragile nowadays, after a GeForce or even Windows update. You could also try to disable every streaming functionalities if you're not using it, like Shadowplay from Geforce Experience or Xbox DVR from Windows 10. At last, I'd suggest to try after uninstalling GeForce Experience as well completely. Hope this will help!
