Well HD is expensive and I prefer bikes that can make dank whoolees I've never won a race with HD, i tried something like 30 times and nothing(then i sold it), for me the best sporty bike is Bati or Double T, BF400 has pretty good handling and the Cliffhanger has the best sound.

Glad to see so many fellow Hakuchou Drag fans in here because I don't see them that often in races. It's a beautiful bike with great acceleration and insane brakes.

I dig the Double T. Although I can't afford much else it seems very good for the price The Double T is a good bike. But imo the best option in the price-quality category is without a doubt the Bati. Cheap and one of the best bikes around. I am not disputing this, but the other good alternative at this price point is the Akuma. <3. Love that thing. And it sounds better imo. (same sound as the Double T if memory serves).

I never really like the Akuma. It can't pop a wheelie resulting in it's top end speed being quite low. And what it did accel at, being acceleration and corning, is outdone by the likes of the Shataro. There really isn't a place in racing for the Akula anymore and the rare few I do see in race lobbies never tend to fear well. Maybe they can topple the noobs who's always crashing, but the top of the packs is usually always either Bati 801's, Shataro's, or sometimes Hakachou Drag's.
Honestly if you want a cheap race bike, the Bati 801 is the only old school bike that still has the speed to keep pace at this point.

I've had the Akuma since I began playing the game, and never ever regretted buying it. It's quite unfair to belittle the Akuma like this. The Akuma's strengths isn't only its acceleration, but also its incredible cornering capabilities, able to take some tight corners at full speed while Batis and Hakuchou Drags have to brake, keep a steady speed, and then accelerate at the corner exit. Yes, the Shotaro is, in fact, a better Akuma. It accelerates ever so slightly faster, it has an ever so slightly better top speed, but there's one major difference: the Shotaro is 2.2 million. The Akuma, only 9k. Nuff said. With 2 less millions, the Akuma performs almost as good as a Shotaro, and because of that, should remain a prime choice when it comes to tracks with lots of tight corners (after all, the Bati is barely a 0.2 second faster than the Akuma as well, and that's assuming you can wheelie it properly).

I never remember the Akuma cause I rarely use it. It's a good bike but for some reason I don't feel it. But you're right, it's half the price of the Bati. You can sell two mediocre stolen cars to LS Customs and you'll have enough money to buy it.

It depends. Broughy's testing if that's what your using isn't always gospel. The Shataro gains just as much speed leaning forward as it does leaning back, and it can wheelie off bumps in the track when pulled back giving it even more speed (wheelie boost). It is all around a better bike, all the Akuma got is the price.
But for 3k more you can have a Bati, which actually has some advantage over a Shataro with it's speed. Bike racing is especially popular on stunt tracks and many of those favor speed if anything. But even on tracks that's mostly turns like Over & Under, Bati's still tend to fear well. They are extremely easy to wheelie and pile on the speed quickly.

I basically live and breath the Bati 801, mainly because it's most similar in make to the bike used by Biker in Hotline Miami and Biker's cool af. It also helps that it's pretty competitive in races, but I mainly use the Shotaro for those if I can remember.

I have never had a problem doing well in MB Races on my Akuma. I switch between that and the HDrag and both do me well. Perhaps i am racing noobs, but either way, people do have their own styles. I am not contesting the dominance of the Shotaro, or the Bati and its long-standing reputation. I have one, but I prefer the Akuma. Maybe it is just personal taste?

Personal taste always play a big part indeed.
That said just because you like something doesn't mean it's the ideal pick. My favorite muscle to race is the Dukes, however it's painfully obvious I'm at a disadvantage to the Sabre Turbo, Yosamiti, or Pisswasser Dominator. But honestly I just don't care for those 3 cars.
All I'm saying is what made the Akuma great in the day has been outdone by a superior bike. The reason the Bati is still loved so much is because it's fast enough to catch up the Shataro on the straights and still has a good chance to win. Meanwhile the Akula just really has no advantages now. At the end of the day there is a degree of luck involved in racing alongside driver skill, a Akula driver always has a chance, it's just that bike won't really be doing you any favors.

The good old Bati, its just great. The Hakuchou Drag is fun riding too, though you are pretty much dead if you hit anything with it

For me is the Bati 801 RR. fyi you only need the RR if you like the liveries, if you want to paint the bike any color just get a normal Bati 801. There is absolutely no performance difference between them.
