The NoDo Review Exchange
Welcome to the Nodo Review Exchange, looking for good feedback on a track you've created? This is the place for you! The aim of this thread is to give you good quality feedback on tracks you've created to help you produce better content for you and the crew.
The way this works is you will review the two last submitted tracks before you submit yours, this way each user gets two different sets of opinions/feedback on each track they submit
RULES
Reviews
- You must provide a review of the two previous submissions before submitting your own.
- Please put the two reviews, and then your submission in the same post
- Your reviews should included what you liked, what you disliked, any improvements you think could be made and finally, a score out of 10!
- Submission's will be in three different classes (Competitive Track, Fun Track, Sprint/Timetrials), the reviews should be judged from the correct point of view. For example, don't judge a fun based track from a serious racing point of view!
- If you wish to review a track(s) without submitting a track of your own, you may do so.
Submissions
- You may only submit one track per post.
- You can submit the same track again if you wish to gain more feed back, providing you have reviewed another two tracks.
- Submissions should include a brief description, a link to your event, and the type of track it is
- Types of tracks include Competitive races (Examples: The North Loop, LS GP), Fun Tracks (Examples: Drag Kings of LS, Karting tracks), and Sprint/Timetrial's (Rally course's, Hotlap based tracks)
- If you would like to put a picture of the layout in your submission, your welcome to do so!
Please Remember
If your track gets a bad review, please don't be disheartened, it's much better to be told the truth so that you can better yourself for next time and please make your reviews are as constructive and helpful as possible, one sentence doesn't help anybody.
Ok I think thats everything, happy reviewing!

So I'll start! Vinewood Highroads Competitive TrackA 4 minute lap, with a lot of twists and turns, two or three very difficult turns, similar to The North loop. I'll state the obvious, the first reviewer only has too review one track not two

This sounds good. I usually only play R*, R* verified tracks and publicised ones from gta racing channels. Be a good way to be adventurous. Anyway to start things off, I made a karting track because that seems to be the trend at the moment and though I'd have a go. Flush Karting GP
Edit - Vinewood Highroads. Just done a few laps, I like long tracks. Good neat prop usage. The long uphill into a sharp right turn caught me out as the turn is blind over a crest and the natural following of road causes you to get air and land in the middle of all the props. But once I knew it was there, it was a good little section to navigate. I also like the chicane as you come out of the tunnel as it suits the road layout as well. It is 5 or so miles long and took me 3.20 - 3.30 per lap but it didn't feel that long. Nice track.

I didn't see you had posted it till after I hit reply. Reviewed your track now in my original post I thought that might be the case, quicker then you at typing, hopefully the case on the track as well Thanks for the comments, yeah my initial problem was that on a first outing its a little hard to navigate cleanly, but I guess you could say that with a lot of tracks!

I have reviewed the following two tracks: Vinewood highroads GP [Overall a great track. Pretty long. I think its suitable for endurance racing. After one lap you get to know it as most of the track follows the road and there isn't many sudden turns. I always judge a track on how well it can be driven without looking at the mini map. That's how I ended up driving straight into the barrier at the chicane just out of the tunnel. The second lap I knew it was there and I drove through it perfectly. The chicane itself is great. I think a checkpoint inside of the tunnel that points right would be a good addition. But that's your choice.] Flush Karts GP [Overall decent track. The beginning of the track is pretty narrow even for a karting track. That isn't that big of a deal but since there is so many hairpins I can see this being pretty hectic when you have 8 or more racers. The number of hairpins I also disliked. That's why I like the last 7/8 corners right before the finish line more. That's a wider section of the track with more regular turns and possibilities to overtake. I think you should look at it again. Re-do the section of the track right after the start line.] The next person can review my track: The Dream Mentor rsg.ms/99da738

I really like this track. Don't like checkpoint 30 though, it can be taken out? you can overshoot checkpoint 31 because of their proximity. Nice track. I changed the layout of my kart track slightly, but not too fussed about reviews. It's just there if people want some karting fun but not my sort of thing. Was fun to make though

Flush Karts GP - Fun little go-karts track. Checkpoints are done quite for a track of this type, and there is one particular corner that I found a lot of fun - namely, a right turn straight into a left hairpin near the start (I think it's the 4th/5th corner). The rest is the usual karting fare, although the track seems a little bit 'faster' than some of the other kart tracks I've played. The one main thing I can see that needs improving is that first straight after the start. There are those yellow parking-bump-thingies (yeah, I don't know what they're actually called) to the right-hand side, and it does affect the racing line. I also had a pedestrian in that same area on the first lap. Obviously there are size limitations to kart tracks, but if you could either reduce the size of the track there, or find some other way to negate these, it'd be great. The Dream Mentor - My first impressions upon racing were what a nice mixture of corners there are. Also, that first turn is a doozy when you first play the track! There are some nice, technical corners and a few flat-out sections, so it helps to balance the playing field in terms of car choice. The double-apex corner is nice also. While I do like the chicane a lot, I just feel that because it exits into the movie studios, the ticket booths there could be a cause for concern. I would suggest moving the checkpoint further up the road and just extending that part of the track slightly, but if you intended for the movie studio to be used then I won't begrudge you for it. All in all though, a very nice, fun track. Now to offer you my track, Test Drive. I think this track was the last one I made on old-gen, but it is still one of my favourites. I feel as though I know where I can improve the track, but I'll let you guys tell me what you think first.

dUTCHIE-Kev Just went round again, your refinements from last time are spot on, a couple of things though, the hay bales are weird? (trivial I know!) The other is you should definitely make a version without the loop in it! Now to offer you my track, Test Drive. I think this track was the last one I made on old-gen, but it is still one of my favourites. I feel as though I know where I can improve the track, but I'll let you guys tell me what you think first. Really like the layout of this track, the thing I will say is I don't like is the themeing, some turns are blocked off with race track elements, when in the description it says it's a real world activity, I would change the blockages to more real world things like roadworks/construction stuff! Also not a fan of the hospital cut through, but that's because I'm rubbish at it! My Submission OverSteer SpeedwayRace Track 30 Players There was a set of corners (the big sweeping ones after the hairpin) I've been trying to fit in to a trackk for ages but never found the right way of doing it, this is what I came up with in the end, quite pleased with the outcome but see what you think!

Contain YourselfIndeed a promising track for fun racing, like, with unusual / unconventional vehicles. Or muscles in rainy weather. For the daily racing business, i think it is a bit too simple, which is not bad at all, but you know, the short lap distance might lead to carnage easily. Oversteer SpeedwayI reviewed this one elsewhere, so i'll be perky and just c&p A very decent track with some of my favourite turns in LS I like the double right section after mirror park. It's a nice gamble there to do it flatout and then "dive" downhill into the hairpin. I think the very first checkpoint is slightly misplaced. Approaching the first turn, I could barely see it through the trees. It was hard to estimate what the turn would be like. Another thing i encountered was the split section just beforehand the U-Turn. The tire barriers came very unexpected , since the ideal line would be on the right of the road. The left turn on the other side (the one after the U-Turn) doesnt seem to need all that place that is reserved by the barriers. It is just a suggestion, but you could pull the road split a bit backwards to give more room for switching the lane. Or alternatively make clear that something solid is about to hit your car when going far right on the uphill section e.g. using cones. Not quite sure if that would work though. At the end of the day, it is an issue of learning the track. After 3 laps i adapted my driving line and it was no longer a problem. My submission for this thread is Riders On The Storm
