I may not be the first person to ask this. But what makes a racetrack great in your eyes? What keeps you coming back to certain tracks?

Balance of risk and reward and decision-making for the driver. Also places on the track that have a bit of room to breathe for passing but doesn't feel wide open. Looking at you laguna seca.

Tracks I personally like the most are tracks that sort of mimics RL racetracks, with well thought through corners, straights and chikanes etc. Also make sure to use lifelike Barriers, tirestacks etc to top of the atmosphere. Tracks that have some kind of cool landmarks or something, like a tunnel, clifside, a tight passage through the city, what have you, tend to be the tracks you remember and want to replay. Just my two cents.

A good tracks consists of the usual following. -Good use of stunt roads that link two unique areas to each other, or that makes for a memorable section and amazing experience at first pass. - Not overpropping. - Leaving a proper amount of overtaking space. - Having a unique layout that hasn’t been seen before. - Having the “it” factor, something you can only know once you see it. - Proper usage of props. (outside barriers, apex props.) - Avoiding props with bad hitboxes. (Tubes, Guardrails, outside face of the raised stunt pieces) - Having a good framerate. (You’d be surprised how easy it is to run a bad track at 15 FPS on console.) This comes from a very large variey of props and the prop density. Back to overpropping.
