Pariahs vs Penumbras
Wednesday 29th August 2018, 18:00 UTC
Inspired by Broughy1322 's "Vagners vs Voltics" staggered start race round the North Loop (link to video at bottom of this section), this will be a one-off staggered-start endurance race, with half the field in Penumbras, half the field in Pariahs, with the Penumbras given a calculated head start so that ideally, the leading Penumbra and the leading Pariah should cross the finish line on the last lap at the same time. A test of endurance, consistency, overtaking, and outright pace, this should be a fun one!
Race Info:

Timetable:
Date: Wednesday 29th August 2018
Pre-lobby: 17:30 UTC
Race start: 18:00 UTC
Race length: 60-70 mins
Start Procedure:
1. Penumbras will line up regularly at the start of the grid in a random, predetermined order.
2. A space of about 4 car-lengths will be left and the Pariahs will be grid-ed up the same way as the Penumbras.
3. On the first sticky-bomb explosion, the Penumbras will go.
4. On the second sticky-bomb explosion (likely several minutes after the first one) the Pariahs will go.
5. The Pariahs will move up to the Penumbras original starting position before they are started, to remove any disadvantage.

Extra information (PLEASE READ):
1. Blue flag rules do not apply for this event - the Penumbras can chose if they want to defend their position if/when the Pariahs catch up to them.
2. Borrowing cars is allowed, though it is not advised, due to the person you borrowed the car from disconnecting.
3. Try your best not to respawn during the race, especially if you borrowed a car, even if it does mean losing a significantly more amount of time, as it reduces the hassle of getting said person a new car. If you do have to respawn back into your original car, finish the lap in said car. A couple of spares of each car will be left at the start-finish line in case this is the case for anyone (this rule will be repeated while the grid is being set-up).
4. Penumbra drivers trying to cheat by respawning into a different car will be disqualified from the event.
5. The pre-lobby will be in a friend-only lobby, so make sure you have added me on Xbox. The meetup location will be decided during the pre-lobby.
6. It will be party-chat for the pre-lobby and race.
7. When joining the race lobby, wait for the phone invite and not "your party started a job". This decreases your likelihood of disconnecting during the race.
