The GTA racing community is a very small cross section of people, it would be a shame if the community divided itself into further smaller groups based on trivial differences in preference.

I can just get so mad if I want people to drive in reverse the whole race and they just refuse! Come on! Driving forward isn't real racing! REVERSE!

Similarly if you join a NoDo lobby and get beaten by someone with off-road tyres on a Zentorno running a line off the road there’s no reason to get mad about it. Broughy on today's video: "Aww, he only killed me cause he had a Zentorno. Scrub. Actually get a proper car."

I now pronounce you, forum clown! I demand Voltic gifs now. I'd only care if it was my Venom colored Voltic, not an ugly pink outcast one.

The thing about kerb boosting is it's very much a risk/reward system. I'm not very good at it myself because I'm ridiculously cautious against hitting hazards on pavements but I see guys taking absolutely suicidal lines through kerbs, dodging lamp-posts and telegraph polls by millimetres and I think if you have the skill to pull off such brave lines, you deserve the reward that comes with it. Plus it's a nice little feature that makes GTA racing unique. Still, each to their own. It's good that there's places for people to race competitively who don't like kerbing.

My thoughts on tires and curbs:
Use whatever tires you want. I'd rather all tires functioned EXACTLY the same even if they end up nerfed, but until that happens I'm going to use the ones that give me the biggest advantage possible, even if they look like garbage.
Curb boosts on corners are okay, as long as you avoid all poles/props. I'd rather curb boosting be removed from the game entirely (along with holding forward on straightaways), but until it does I'm going to use any curb that lies on my racing line.
Curb boosts on straights are prone to knocking down poles and getting in the way of others. There are a few places on certain tracks that have curbs on straights that are easy to get on and off of and don't compromise your line, but for the most part I'd say curb boost on straights at your own risk.

(along with holding forward on straightaways) Wait!!....What??....In a car or on a bike? Do you gain a speed advantage while holding forward in a car? If so, I never knew about this until now. Maybe that's the only reason I keep getting flogged by you guys. . . . . . Or maybe it's because I'm slow & shit.

Of course on a bike you want to wheelie, but alot of people here swear by holding forward on a straightaway, and it seems to have some effect.
