I'm considering changing the final part of the new LSGP. I'm either going to make the final straight shorter (so it keeps the same shape as now but with the hairpin not so far down the main straight after the right hander) or restore the fast left hander going onto the main straight and instead go right out of the corner before it with a hairpin under the bridge.
Thoughts?

I truly enjoy it the way it is.

I'm all in for the removal of the hairpin. Right now the front straight feels really long imo. Shortening it should help.

Just based on thoughts and not trying it I think the hairpin under the bridge sounds better.

Tbh, I don't think you need to make any such drastic changes to that section. However, I think it would flow much better if the barriers on the exit point of the left/right before the hairpin wasn't spaced so far apart. Just making the barriers smoother around the exit point would go a long way. My second suggestion would be to move the barriers creating the actual hairpin more centered in the road. The hairpin currently has a 3-wide entry and 2-wide exit, which does make it a little awkward in my opinion. According to the FIA track guidelines, if my memory serves me correct, hairpins should always aim to have a wider exit then entry. (Please do correct me if I'm wrong, it's late and I cba to search for them right now ) Anyways, I personally don't think there is any need for more drastic changes to the layout in that section. The option you're airing with a righthander into a hairpin under the bridge does sound like an intriguing variant though, and I'd love to see how that solution would work out as well.

I have no problems with the track as it is now in terms of design, but I've always had a problem with how many props that section takes up. It's far too many for one section like that and the rest of the track could be improved by having those props available elsewhere. The wide entry aspect of the hairpin was to allow for overtaking such as with the first corner at COTA for example, but there is also a wide exit there too (although I'm not sure it's as wide as the entry) - either way a shorter section there would have the barrier in the middle.
I have been trying the right, hairpin under bridge, fast left setup and it actually does feel rather nice. That's the frontrunner at the moment.

It's currently 3 lanes wide on entry and 2 lanes wide on exit. However, this is of course just nitpicking when it comes to track design as it's obviously an enjoyable track already Props will always be an issue unless we sometime get access to an unlimited amount, atleast from a creator standpoint It might also be an alternative worth looking into going left and continuing one block further down to turn left into the underpass, and using the natural props in the underpass to create a hairpin. I'm not sure how that would work in terms of connecting it back up to the main straight though, and it might give you an unfortunate one lane drive before turning back towards the finish line. Either way I'm looking forward to seeing your updated version with the choices you make

I like the left-right before the hairpin, great corners to overtake. Only downside is you're not able to run wide, unless you're lucky and bounce on a barrier, chances are big you'll hit one head on and maybe cause more trouble. Maybe shortening the hairpin and making the barriers to 1 long smooth one would be best imo. But that's just my 23cents

Why not have instead of the hairpin. It go left just before the lest corner and all the way around the construction site, then rejoining the main straight as a 90 degree right hander. That section flows really well.

I like how it is now and don't think it needs any changes. Fun track to drive around as it is : )

i don't like the last hairpin like fachuro said the exit is ony 2 wide and that hairpin only creates craches and divebombs+what zenzi said is so true and sometimes when battling you get pushed into it = big choke. I think kelevra's solution is the best but this makes the track longer and removes the need for the barrriers.
