I'm passionate about GTA V/Online, as the engine and the world are both one in a kind and deliver an experience that I've been dreaming of ever since I was a kid. However, there are things about the game that are annoying, sketchy or pretty much broken. Additionally, just like Broughy, I pretty much disagree with a lot of the decisions that Rockstar have made with where they are taking the game recently. All of this has made me want to quit playing multiple times (and I have had a very long break), but eventually the game always draws me back in.
With all that said, I really would like to see Rockstar fix and improve some of the annoying and inconvenient issues. I decided to try and file a bug report. As it turned out, such reports don't go to Rockstar directly, but to some kind of trusted community members. It is unclear if the person I ended up talking to is paid/compensated in any way. Here is the reply I got to my report:
This was disappointing for two reasons: first, Rockstar seems to "hide" behind a wall of what might be volunteering community members. Second, after filing a bug report I'm being adviced to file the same info again in a different system, one that - just going by the name ("feedback") - would not get as much attention as a bug report.
Now, before I sit down and file a dozen of "feedback suggestions" in that system, I would love to hear from people who already went through the process. What was your experience? Did you feel like Rockstar is taking these things seriously? Did you ever get feedback to your feedback? Have you seen any of your suggestions being put into practice? Or did you get the feeling the feedback form is merely a black hole that is supposed to help players get something out of their system?
