Remember free races on GTA IV? I've decided to replicate them as best as I can do. The premise is simple. Start at point A, and make it to point B. How you do this is up to you!
You MUST use GTA race for this! Oh, and leave traffic settings to 'on'!
For this first, 30-player free race - 'Northbound' you start at the docks, and must make your way to a beach, north of Paleto Bay. In GTA IV you used to start the races on foot. Obviously you can't do this on GTA V so I had to settle for the next best/worst option: lawn mowers. Get off your mower at the start, and run until you can steal a car. Do you go for the first car in sight, or wait for a better, faster one to appear?
Here is the link, please tell me if this is any good, and whether I should continue to make more free races. Perhaps one from South LS to North LS? East to West? Sandy Shores to Chiliad? Ideas are much appreciated.
I'm also looking at possibly creating some Cannonball Run races in the near future, so keep 'em peeled for when they show up!
(A problem with the creator when making races like these is that, even when you have GTA race selected, you can't exit the vehicle. As such, I had to drive the entire length of the map. In a lawn mower. It took 35 minutes. My R2 button is currently resting.)
