Hello everyone. First of all, this is NOT a console war thread. I am here to be taught and teach others about the technical specifications of the PS4 and Xbox One. This is only a spreadsheet, the sources are included in there. If something is wrong, please tell me so I can correct it. I hope this will give you guys a good overview if you didn't already know it all. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/121sbhtLW61Xj8BWMeVb5OZC2vZoXxgl0u8e7SwTqFCU/edit?usp=sharingPLEASE don't start a console bitch fight (I hope it's ok to post this)

Im not sure how it fits into your chart but the X1 is compatible with a SSD.

Sooo, the XB1 has a better processor (but only slightly), but the PS4 has a better GPU but a reasonable margin. If it's graphics to enjoy those multiplats better you're looking for (and don't want a PC) PS4 is the right option but for games, either of them could be up your alley, although very few console games interest me. That's why I have a PC, performance and games. Also I can do much more than game on my PC. I love my PC.
EDIT: PS4 also has faster RAM.

EDIT: PS4 also has faster RAM. Wrong. The Xbox One's processor is clocked higher, the BIGGEST and MAIN difference is the RAM. PS4 has 8GB of GDDR5 RAM (that's the stuff used in graphics cards) while the XB1 uses the slower DDR3 RAM (normally used in PCs for the processor only). That gives the XB1 less than half the RAM bandwidth of the PS4 and so the XB1's processor and GPU have much less power because they can't transport data so fast. That is why the XB1 cannot display most games in 1080p at 60fps. If Microsoft had invested in GDDR5 RAM, the XB1 would be superior to the PS4 becuase of its higher clock speeds. Also, you won't notice the difference beween 900p and 1080p anyway. Good thing about the Xbox is full USB 3.0 title saving support and DirectX 12.

So I was mainly right, just not techy enough But I disagree about not knowing the difference between 900p and 1080p. I always game at 1080p on my PC (which my 760 is fully capable of) and I get 70+ FPS on BF4 when I just turn off MSAA and nothing else. However, occasionally I go to 900p just to get 100+ FPS but it just doesn't look crisp enough for me. But hey, I'm a hardcore PC fanboy so I care too much about stuff I shouldn't.

Well if you have to put apples in a bag but you only have one hand it'll take longer than with two hands. Makes sense hopefully haha. You only really notice the resolution difference when you compare it directly yeah, I'm gonna get a Sapphire R9 270X 4GB which will run BF4 with 60fps on Ultra, for just 200€
