Today, I'm interviewing one of the racers in tomorrow's race Mr. CantDrive55Andy.
Andy: (laughs) Jock, let's just keep it to Andy for short.
Jock: Ok, Andy. So, how have you been preparing for the big race?
Andy: Well Jock, I've been driving on The North Loop track like there's no tomorrow. I'd actually like to share some pictures. This first picture is my results from my first individual 3 lap race on The North Loop
Jock: Were you pleased with those results, Andy?
Andy: Honestly, no I'm not. A Best Lap Time of roughly 5:38:8 is not very good. I need to make some serious changes in my racing.
Jock: Well, why would you say that? Isn't the race extremely long?
Andy: That it is. But my racing habits need improvement. I've noticed I tend to over steer around a few of the turns and even slide up a few hills. I need to cut down on that time by at least 15 seconds to be able to stand a chance against some of the finer racers.
Jock: Are you saying you're not going to win?
Andy: Absolutely not! This is a must-win situation for Ron Racing. You see, if I
don't win, Trevor Phillips is going to drink the blood from my veins! (laughs) And there's pretty stiff competition.
Jock: You mean Broughy1322, right?
Andy: Actually, no. Don't get me wrong, he's definitely up there almost in a class of his own. I'm referring to the team Merryweather of chrisde22 and doubles92 and the LifeInvader team of nfsshadow and ZeNzI23.
Jock: Why specifically those teams, Andy?
Andy: I've raced with doubles92 and I think I've beat him once. And we've raced probably, I'd say, a total of 50 times. He is a master of taking the lead and keeping it. A true master of "finding the racing line" and rarely makes mistakes. Also, a great clean racer. ZeNzI23 is a clean racer as well. Very precise in his cornering and good at blocking me from passing on the final checkpoint -_- XD
Jock: Why have you pointed out these two racers?
Andy: These are the two that I've mainly raced with. There's plenty of others. SubaruWolf, reservoirdoc, and obluebear just to name a few. They shouldn't be counted out either.
Jock: What about the Xero Gas team?
Andy: Even though they're on the 360 side, I can tell they are
very dedicated to the racing and this thread. My hat goes off to them. But seriously, why do your gas stations leave the beer OUTSIDE IN THE SUN?! THAT'S MADNESS!
Jock: (laughs) Which team do you think is going to win?
Andy: If there's one thing I've learned, it's that you can never predict whom exactly is going to win a race. Each team has very good, precise racers. Some of you I'll be meeting for the first or second time and I'm looking forward to it! It all depends on who can go around the course without making any mistakes, I'd say. There are plenty of chances to cleanly overtake your opponents, so running into your opponent is just utterly disrespectful. We'll see Sunday who exactly is going to win. But let me just say this: Practice makes perfect around that course.
Jock: Why would you say that?
Andy: Again, it's a long course and it's all going to boil down to who can find the racing line, make the least amount of mistakes, and rack up a good lap time. I'd like to post the photo but it is over 1MB so it will not allow me. I've raced over the couse in a Faggio, 1 Lap Race, with a time of 8:57:040.
Jock: Good God, man! That sounds almost as brutal as being a former Vinewood stuntman!
Andy: I'll tell you, it took a lot of patience to go around the entire course in that Faggio. Going up those steep hills was so tedious! But, I can now confidently say that I
do know the track. However, more practice and testing needs done. Practice makes perfect and hard work truly does pay off.
Jock: Well, I don't know about that. Being a politician, I've never really had to worry about those things. Say, are going to vote for me for governor?
Andy: Absolutely! That Sue Murray is just... she's just awful. How are your three families doing?
Jock: I couldn't agree more! And they're doing just fine. Some people ask me why I have three families. Some say it's just so I'll be more likeable and will get more votes for me. And to that I say, it's the immigrants faults. I blame them for everything happening now! I'd say we're about finished here. Any final thoughts?
Andy: I just want to say good luck to everyone out there tomorrow. All kidding aside, you're all great racers and it's an honor and privilege to share that race track with you. Thanks for all the good times and plenty more to be had!
Jock: Well, that's the end of this interview. Be sure to check back tomorrow before the race starts where we'll get some final words from Andy before he fills up at the local Ron gas station and heads over to the course! And remember, I wanna be your asshole for governor! Just don't vote for me if you're an immigrant, old, crippled or part of a union.
