When using this forum I mean. whilst it isn't every time, it's been happening to me rather frequently the past week or so. It keeps on telling me to install Adobe flash player, which I already have, so I know it's fake.

I've never had this happen to me. Have you ran any adware scans? or noticed it happening at all with other sites?

I had this problem, If I'm correct you're using chrome Mace ? You need to click on the chrome menu if so, the 3 bars on the corner , then go to More Tools then Extensions and there is probably some extensions there, like Ad-Coupon or Randome Numbers and Letters, if you see any of those Disable and Remove, also if you see anything that you don't know that's trustworthy, I only have Google docs, spreadsheets, powerpoints, etc and Skype and an extension called Qmee (don't worry about that, just a random extension). Any of these you see that you don't feel are necessary/manually installed by you/from well-companies then disable and remove. If none of this works then Uninstall Chrome and Re-install. I had this problem for a while, reason why I was so inactive on these forums for about a month nearly. Hope this helps, if you're not using Chrome then I am really clueless. Best of luck EDIT: thought I'd include some pictures for further help: STEP 1:
