So we're 5 days away from Opening Day and I realized there is no baseball related thread for with the crew. Depending who you ask, baseball viewership is in decline. It turns out, quite the opposite is happening, with steady increases over the past few years. With the new pace-of-play rules soon to be in effect, I think it will keep rising. Point is, I know you guys are out there!
I'm a Mariner's fan myself, and I really think this will be their year. I'm calling Mariners vs Nationals this October. Either way, I think this is going to be a really exciting year. The offseason brought about a lot of changes for the game and moved some potential superstars all over the place.
So who's your team? Anything surprise you in Spring Training so far? Who are your (very) early picks for the World Series?

I'm visiting some friends and family in San Francisco right now...they're all still a bit salty about Panda leaving. It's not really that big of a surprise. Money is money.

It's Opening Day! And already a few surprises.
Colorado scoring TEN runs and shutting out Milwaukee? The Mets taking down the Nationals (Bartolo Colon only allowed one run)? What about Tanaka getting roughed up for four runs in four innings (the shortest opening day outing for a Yankees pitcher since 1985)? Looks like the Padres are putting up a good fight against Kershaw right now too.
Going to be a very exciting season!

This included Hanley Ramirez scoring two home runs, with one being a grand slam. Seriously though, everyone said Hamels needed to retire and then opening day he allowed 5 home runs. Ouch.
