If Xfinity guys want to experience racing against cup guys, then they should run a couple races in cup.
As for today's race, I don't think Logano intentionally dumped Kenseth, but he certainly didn't back-off. I bet he intended to just push him into the corner and run him up the track. But it is what it is and I'm not upset with the outcome. I'm a little disappointed that Kyle Busch finished 5th, but it still puts him on the bubble for Dega, so we'll see how that works out. Anything can happen at Dega...

First time pulling a backup car for Casey in seven years. Can't help but wonder if that's a record.

I saw the clip, and first thought "that wasn't too hard" but saw it from another angle and, yea, he slapped it pretty good. A lot of guys were just plain getting loose during the race. Slick track.

The funny thing is the Monday morning recap from Bootie this morning, he said, "He just brushed the wall, just brushed it."

I do hope Bootie is as cool a guy in person as he is on TV.

He is. Very easy to talk to, swears like a sailor crossed with a rapper. I haven't talked to him much personally, but do long as you're doing your part to try and win, he's cool. Not a lot of tolerance for slackers.

If you ever wondered if hearing loss was only a risk for the road crews, just come by the shop and listen to one of the body hangars sing about how he's not gonna work for Maggie's mom no more.

My father used to work for a race team, so I got some pretty cool experiences as a kid.
As an adult, I did a race experience and got to drive one, which was also awesome.

Wow, lost a ton of respect for Kevin Harvick right there.
Waiting until NASCAR determines who is out before updating the rest of the OP. Added Logano as winner (grrr grumble moan complain)

Let me see if I can break down the insanity of this race.
1. Logano break checks Kenseth getting on pit road?
2. Hamlin's roof hatch coming off.
3. Biffle's ridiculous fuel strategy.
4. The green flag that wasn't.
5. The green flag that was.
6. Harvick spins Bayne intentionally?
7. The race ending big one.
8. Logano sweeps the entire Chase round.
My thoughts: 1. I don't think Logano did that. In fact, it almost looked like Kenseth got into Logano. What does Logano gain from pissing off Kenseth any more? 2. Really bizarre. Should have fixed it right the first time. 3. I like the Biff, and Roush has had an abysmal year. I was really rooting for him, but it wasn't meant to be. Really wanted to see if he was going to make it or not. 4. Drivers wanted less GWC, and here we have two ridiculous restarts. The first is a tough call, but I think NASCAR made the right call. They never crossed the line and therefor never had an opportunity to race. 5. The second restart was looking to be a better start, but then Harvick sort of made a mess. I bet a lot of drivers wish we had those extra GWCs in reserve after today... 6. Did Harvick spin Bayne intentionally? Hard to say, but it sort of looks like he did. 7. I'm pretty surprised we didn't get a big wreck earlier in the race, but there sure was a lot of green flag racing. I think they threw the yellow a bit quick, though. They could have let them race until the end of the back stretch. BUT, they said they wanted emergency personnel on the track, so it is what it is, I guess. 8. Logano really has shown some speed. This is impressive. However, for selfish reasons, I wouldn't have been upset had Jr won. I don't really like Jr, but if he had won, it would have pushed Kyle Busch out of the chase, and I hate Kyle Busch so damn much....

Personally I'm very unhappy with how we performed at Talladega. The car was good- proved that by getting to 12th place. Finishing where we did, especially given the wreck at the end, was utterly unacceptable. I will not be surprised if tomorrow when Casey comes in to the shop to check the Martinsville car, he finds a less than happy crew waiting for him.
As for the wreck and Harvick? At least per the folks I've talked to, they think it was deliberate- he knew if there was a caution he'd finish 6th and be all set. I can't claim to know; I didn't see it.

Was Casey penalized for speeding after being knocked onto pit road? Didn't look like he had any intention of coming in that lap, and even if he did, he was pretty clearly forced.

Of course, the only person who can say with 100% certainty whether it was intentional or not is Kevin Harvick, and if it was I doubt he'd ever admit it, but it looked very suspicious, at least to me, especially with the in-car camera: High-quality video here.

He said he waved to signal he was heading in, but yeah, he got a penalty for speeding on pit road, possibly due to excess speed from the hit.

That's bull. He had no control over his speed on the way into the pits. Of course, the only person who can say with 100% certainty whether it was intentional or not is Kevin Harvick, and if it was I doubt he'd ever admit it, but it looked very suspicious, at least to me, especially with the in-car camera: High-quality video here.If he did it intentionally, he covered it up pretty well with his erratic hand movements.
