Yeah, looks like he's gonna be out for a while. I'm glad it's not as bad as it could have been. Also, contrary to previous reports, he did not flip the vehicle. Just landed it pretty hard.

Don't worry, he can miss half the season and still make the chase. That's how the rules work, apparently.

If he's able to be in the top 30 in points and atleast one win sure, but half the season is a lot of races and points I know he's good but the consistency is not there, I would like to see him grab one win in his last season tho

I was making a joke because the fact anyone can miss one, MAYBE two races, and still be eligible, is incredibly stupid.

And he was still in the battle for things that are out of his control, or Kyle Busch, that guy really worked HARD for that title winning 4 races of the regular season and the season finale it's pretty amazing to me, and he was out for an ACCIDENT. IMO it's not a stupid rule

In the old days, if you were good, you could miss a race and still be in it. But for Kyle Busch to miss 8 races and still win? Nope. Not ok with that.

I still don't think he should have been given a waiver for missing so much of the season, but damn, he came back really strongly and earned that championship (as much as I may not like the fact that managed to do so )

The Shootout wasn't too bad but even with all the new rules in place regarding overtime and the overtime line, they still need to be clearer on how they'll call a race if there's a crash on the last lap behind the leader. They still had room to race when the yellow came out.

A friend of mine made a good point about the last lap crash after I made the same comment; Back in the day, they always raced back to the line.
I do like the frozen field. It's much safer than racing back when there's a car in the middle of the track, but if it's the last lap, and there isn't a car in the way, then race to the finish.

Don't know why they stopped doing that a few years back there was some races with last lap crashes and didn't throw a yellow... To me that's something they should change

They say that driver's need attention after a crash, and they won't allow personnel on the track under green conditions, regardless of where the pack is. This is different from other motorsports where track personnel are allowed on track at their own discretion, including green flag. I get it, but at the same time, once the drivers cross the checkered, they should be slowing down anyway. If the crash is well past the flag stand (ie: not in turn 1 of a short track) then racing to the flag should be fine.

It's about as likely as the Blista Compact being put into the Compact class.
