Will be my second election, first time voting for green party for pretty much all the reasons mentioned above. I too have been heavily Labour influenced and they will get my second vote. Made the mistake in the previous elections of voting for Labour as they promised to reduce train fares, which at the time was the only thing that swayed me to vote for them, as it directly effected me. Sure enough train fares actually increased! Fool me once.... In general I do not pay attention to the world of politics and, to an extent, the economy as much I should do. Being completely honest I feel that without a doubt a democratic system is the only way forward however I don't see anything other than an endless cycle of the economy rising and falling periodically and will continue to do so regardless of who is in power. That is ofcorse until 1000 years from now when the Chinese robot xenomorphs that inhabit this planet, as it slowly gets swallowed by the sun, uncovers the Harry Potter books in some cave somewhere and starts a religion based of it (wouldn't be the first time) Gryffindor be praised Gryffindor scum. Hufflepuff or die.

I hate them all xD I just think they're all a bunch of idiots and *insert expletives here*. I just hope UKIP doesn't get into power more than anything.

I've just realised four of the more well known parties have the Same colours as the houses in harry potter.
Yellow- liberal democrats/ hufflepuff Blue- conservative/ ravenclaw (ukip could possibly be this too) Green- Green Party/ slytherin Red- labour/ gryffindor This is completely irrelevant to politics itself but just a cool thing to pick up on

I found a very interesting site, it is in the form of a questioner. It matches your choices to a political party and gives you a pie chart at the end so you can see your % agreement with each party, thus removing voteing for a personallity or spin etc. What is interesting is at the end you can look not only your consitiuancy but also nationally. The national results genuinely suprised me and makes me wonder if people actually do rather vote for personalities, on how they eat a bacon butty / hotdog etc or actually know what they are voting for. Ofc you can a sample size is not enough or there maybe some sort of sociopolitical bias in people willing to take the survey skewing the results. Near 200000 people across the uk who have used it. voteforpolicies.org.

Well I took the vote for policies survey and it shocked me when it turns out I chose pretty much all Labour policies (apart from the environment when I chose the Green Party).

This is what I got, not too surprised, as the environment is my main concern and the reason why I like the Green Party, and it's only 1 out of the 4 categories I selected.

thought I was becoming more moderate but I guess not lol. In terms of UK politics, I guess UKIP is closest to my beliefs but I'm aware they're pretty crazy. In terms of US politics I want to be excited that Rand Paul is running for president but I'm skeptical of him.
