I feel like a lot of that has to do with your admitted struggle to pass people. If you get better at that I see no reason why non-contact would be better for you personally in a lobby of clean racers. Like many have said it has its place on certain tracks and certain lobbies but on good tracks like LSGP with plenty of great passing space it just irks me to no end. I need extensive training. Same here. I can pass on my tracks like nobodies business, but on the other million or so tracks that I don't know as well, I can't do shit.

I highly doubt anyone wants to teach me how to pass effectively. That's my problem.

Its hard to explain and I am probably not the best person to try to explain. Its a combination of reaction time both physically and mentally. Predicting your opponent and knowing how both your car and their car reacts to certain situations. You have to know in advanced where your opponent is going into a turn and coming out of it and basing your line of attack on that. Its an art not a science imo.

Idk if this will help, but growing up watching this show ignited a racing mindset in me. This clip is a great example of what I was trying to explain. Granted it is only one circumstance and should not be applied to every situation.

Ironically I was looking for a real life Toyota Corolla to base my Futo off of and this anime is the one I chose to mimic lol
