OMG
I totally freaking love this game it's like super mega ultra hyper amazingly, ultimately, epicly, extremely, explosively, and GINORMOUSLY AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like seriously, I was recommended the game by a fellow crew member because he figured it was a type of game that I would like and he was SOOOOOOOOOO right on point with it. I bought the first episode earlier this month and was just absolutely amazed with it. I felt completely immersed in the story from the very start with my headset on, and felt like I was in some sort of awesome TV show or something.
Anyways, a more detailed description would be that I LOVE how the game is driven by the choices you make (I love choice games), it's like, "Well I think Max would do this since Victoria did that to her earlier." and then the game tells you that the choice will have consequences and then It makes me think of how ominous that sounds and if I chose the wrong option xD Anyways, even if I did I would not go back to change it unless I reeeeaaallly needed to and my emotions get the best of me. Speaking of which... I'm a very emotional person (most often when other people are not around to see me) and I felt so emotionally attached to the characters after the first episode, it was ridiculous. Even though I don't see myself as being like Max at all, sometimes the things she said were exactly how I would feel and some I could even relate to. It feels just like real life (other than her power), and it isn't all happy and such (The first 2 episodes actually are really freaking depressing IMO). For example, I felt like crying for Kate at the end of episode 1 and then episode 2 was just the icing on the cake for that. Even Chloe's story made me sad since shes had to deal with so much crap in her life and how big of an effect it has had on her in the past few years. When Max and Chloe reunited, the tension between them was TOO real, another thing I can relate to.
Even MORE awesome was interacting with EVERYTHING and talking with everyone, it brought me more into Max's world and I sometimes I felt myself just naming people I see as if I was attending the school as well xD OH! AND ANOTHER THING, I really enjoy photography (Even though Im not amazing or anything with it), so that was an immediate attention grabber when I noticed that Max LIVES for it. Hm.... I can't think of much else and this is a long-ass post so I will end it with saying that Life Is Strange one of the best games I've played in a LONG time!!

Life is Strange is an absolute, absolute must play. I say must play and not watch on YouTube. Why? Because you yourself make every decision in the game that effects the overall progression of the story. You feel a sense of connection with Max and with all the other characters. You put yourself in her shoes and make decisions based on the story, the actions, and even your own personal opinions.
Please, please play this game. It's $20 on PSN. I'm very sad there isn't an actually physical copy of the game. I would literally buy it again if there's a physical copy because I believe if you aren't able to hold something in your hand, then you don't actually own it. With today's day and age, hacking people and lizard witchcrafters have the ability to be very mean people. Think about it: They could erase all of your iTunes, Andriod, digital downloads and leave no trail so that you wouldn't be able to be refunded your purchases or even receive your money back. Honestly, just think about it. Plus, with modern technology, if you buy a physical copy of something you can get two versions of it. One being the physical copy and the other being the digital copy. Now, back on topic...
I let my friends play this game and they absolutely love it. It's amazing how a fictional character can convey such real emotion. Just the other day, my one friend texted me, "ANDY I WANNA PLAY THAT GAME DAMNIT!" We just recently completed the second episode. Speaking of episodes it's very frustrating (but understandable) that the game is being released in episodes. You literally have to wait a month to two months for a new episode to come out. Imagine watching an episode of your favorite TV show, getting to the best part, and having to wait forever to find out what happens. It is so frustrating. The episode format in it of itself is an interesting concept. You can get a good 2-3 hour game session out of it and not feel burned out. If you're like me and work way too much, then this is just right for you. More often than not, when I get home from work, I want to relax and play video games for a few hours until bedtime. The episode format provides a gaming experience that's not too short and not too long. Just right! I also believe the episode format and 1-2 months in between episodes helps keep things fresh and let's you the player take a step back and examine everything. What's going to happen? Were the choices I made right?
Finally, no spoilers but I just wanted to quickly mention Episode 3. Sweet Mother of Jesus. THE FEELS. The story of this game is so beautiful. Toward the tail end of this episode, I was crying like a woman watching The Notebook. No joke. I don't give a quarter of a damn if that makes me seem less manly. That's how massive this game has effected me. I have a very good relationship with my dad, so it really hit me hard (you'll find out when you play it.) I also recently (2-3 months or so ago) reconnected with friends who I care about and love deeply, so this game came out at the perfect time in my life. So, in conclusion, play this game. Take out your 401k, remortgage your house, sell your gold and silver, take out a small loan, do whatever you need to do in order to experience the story of Life is Strange. Be sure to check out my full review whenever all episodes come out. :-)

I avoid watching any videos of it because it takes away from the experience. It doesn't feel like "My" TV show when I watch someone else play it.
