OMG DOES THIS GAME LOOK AWESOME! For me this game is what I've been waiting for, a proper, genuine rally game. Ever since codemasters went towards Gymkhana and away from proper rally there haven't been any good rally games. But this game, it looks so good, and you can get an early access copy right now from steam. I haven't got it yet, because I don't know if my PC can handle it, so I'm waiting it out to see if they'll release it on consoles. I've seen one video on it, and it looks amazing, even though the driver in the video, wasn't the best...but still the game looked amazing and I can't wait to play it. DiRT Rally Website

It looks great! I haven't even heard of it coming and suddenly it popped up as an early access. The first videos got me already hooked. Now I got to avoid the hype so I don't build up too much expectations. So far so good - I've really waited Codemasters to respond to rally fans and go back to basics.
Here's a couple of videos I watched earlier, one with decent driving and another one with good commentary.

There's no way that they're not releasing this on consoles.

Yes! Dirt and Dirt 2 were awesome and I thought Dirt 3 was decent but as you said, it wasn't so much about rallying as it was about gymkhana. Personally, I enjoyed it and it provided me with some great moments but I true rally experience has been missing for years.
Definitely looking forward to this

I got it, I couldn't resist. I've only played about 15 minutes and its easily becoming one of my favourite games. Turns out my PC could run it, just on the Ultra Low settings (which it was already on when I started the game, I'm not sure if this is a default setting or if it knew what my PC was capable of and based my settings around that. I highly suggest this game to everyone, its brilliant and I absolutely love it!

Just for anyone who is curious, this isn't coming to console from what I'm hearing. Dirt 4 should be coming out for consoles though.

It's in early access, once it's out of EA, you'll be seeing the inevitable console ports, trust me.

If I recall correctly Dirt 3 did that, too. What are your PC specs and what resolution are you using? I'm asking so I could figure out if my old desktop even has a chance to run Dirt Rally.

It looks amazing! Not sure if I'm going to buy it while it's still on Early Access, Project CARS and DiRT Rally releasing in the same year is just insane.

I honestly prefer DiRT Rally atm over PCars, but that's probably because I grew up on rally games.
