So I heard this really interesting and cool story. It's a few months late, but I'm assuming most people would not have heard of it. The "Cannonball Baker Sea-To-Shining-Sea Memorial Trophy Dash" is a route from Manhatten, New York City to Redondo Beach, Los Angeles. Recently, three guys announced with verification that they set a new record. And by beat, I mean absolutely shattered the old record. Here's a good podcast that details the story, from the planning to the preparation to the execution. It's one of the most interesting stories I've heard in a while. If you're a car person definitely listen to this when you get a chance; just listen to it when you're doing something else if you have to because it is so worth hearing how they pulled it off. www.carstuffshow.com/podcasts/could-you-drive-across-the-u-s-in-29-hours/
