I was SOOO close to actually pre-order the game. Then I thought that i might as well wait until after the E3 presentation. But then a suddenly change of mind made me think, FUCK IT I want it NOW!
All links to retailers are dead, the game isn't available for purchases yet, not even on steam :-(

Based on past release dates and wishful thinking, I am betting it will be an October release date, this year.

I'm....way too excited already. It's basically what I was describing. I like that it's set in Boston and the city area seems much denser than Fallout 3's DC.
Polygon is reporting it will be coming to XB1, PS4, and PC.

Apparently, the footage was created in-game ( fallout.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Agent_c/Fallout_Announcement_Live_Blog ), which is awesome if it looks that good. Also, I hope the dogs facial movement is an indicator that Bethesda has improved that area of the game. As a fan of Departed, I really hope we get to buy an apartment that has a view of the Massachusetts State House. I also wonder if there is going to be cut scenes or moving vehicles in the game.

As a guy who has never played a Fallout game, but have played Skyrim, it sounds pretty interesting, and the trailer looks promising. If I'm going to get it is another story. If it reviews well enough and doesn't have any major issues, then I my pick it up. Tired of all the sucky games which were overhyped *cough*Destiny*cough*

I love how big titles like Destiny have just popped up out of no where and set the standard for games in the new generation of console gaming, I think we can rest assured that Bethesda will pull out all the stops and really set the bar high for RPG players and mod makers the way they always have, Expect really big things! I'm so excited!

I'm so excited! Destiny was a long, long, long way off from setting the standard for games. It's metacritic scores were 76 from critics which is good at best, and only a 6.2 user score which is barely even average. I had so much hope for destiny when it was first announced but as it got further into development I could see it's ambitions were way overhyped and the media just would not let up in building the game up to be the saviour of RPG's when it isn't even a proper RPG. But back onto Fallout. As much as I find the bugs and glitches in Bethesda games hilarious, New Vegas had so many that I couldn't even finish the game. I did roughly 50/60 hours in that game and am nowhere near finishing because it's so god damn buggy. I've played Fallout 3, Oblivion and Skyrim so I know what to expect...but New Vegas was just on another level of bugs and glitches! I really, really hope that doesn't happen this time because it can really take away from what is probably the most anticipated game to be announced with the exception on Half-Life 3 maybe.

Yeah the whole 'Destiny setting the standard thing was more of a sarcastic jab at the younger generation of gamers that believed that to be the case' It sucks to hear your New Vegas experience was cut so short by bugs, I never had such bad luck with the game, What Platform were you playing on? I think you have to learn to love the bugs in Bethesda titles because when you have a game with almost limitless options in how you play the game there's always going to be un forseen problems arising and that's kind of fun sometimes lol

Hard to detect the sarcasm but man am I relieved that isn't what you truly believe lol. I had/have it on PS3 which is also where I played Skyrim and put in god knows how many hours. Last time I remember i was around 120ish hours but I did a whole side quest story arc since so it's probably closer to 130/135 I think. There was so much more that I wanted to do in Skyrim but the PS3 framerate and save bugs hit me and I didn't finish all the side quests I wanted to. Basically...I have a love hate relationship with Bethesda games but I just keep coming back for more!

Somehow i knew you would say PS3 lol, I also played a couple hundred hours of New Vegas and Skyrim on PS3 as opposed to my usual 360 gaming and i also had similar problems, I'll leave the master race comments completely out of this but yes the PS3 always had trouble running certain games without bugs and graphical problems for me, Borderlands 2, Skyrim, Fallout New Vegas to name just a few, But i won't hate on the console entirely because it ran alot of games really well (Killzone, Tomb Raider etc.) also i was a complete PS2 fan-boy growing up so there's that too
