So yesterday I got completely fed up with the Dualshock 4 controller I had for about 8 months, and switched back to a DS3. The issue it had was that the right trigger would not be detected to be pressed completely, thus giving my only about 90% throttle at max. I recall some others had here (I think) also had similar issues on the right trigger, so I'm wondering if anyone knows of a fix for this. I would prefer to use the DS4 but if its a POS in terms of reliablity I'd rather try to fix it than to buy another. Here's how much the computer detects when I push the trigger all the way: Yeah, its pretty terrible.

I had the same issue as you. If I pressed the the trigger in a certain way it would detect 100% though but it wasn't a comfortable way to press the R2.
I switched the controller which eliminated the problem but now this new one I have likes to lose connection to the PS4 by some milliseconds sometimes, which is really annoying in corners.

I took my controller apart the other day to fix a mushy touchpad. It's surprisingly easy to take part and put back together again. If you're going to do this then obviously you should take care but it might help?
