www.projectcarsgame.com/project-cars-2.htmlReading this has pissed me off royally! First off...I'm really enjoying pCars. I've put in almost 40 hours already and I've only had my PS4 for less than a month. The main reason why this has pissed me off though is because I have just payed £50 for a beta test for pCars2. Everything they have announced for the sequel is everything that should have been in the first game. They outright said that rallying would be DLC in the future...not a new damn game all together! £3mil in crowd funding from 80,000 backers...plus however much was put up by the studio/investors, yet we get an unfinished product despite several delays, and they have the cheek to ask us to do that all again. The game hasn't even been out for two months, yet here they are announcing a sequel already. They obviously couldn't create what they envisioned first time around and so they want another crack at it...fair enough. But here's an idea for you SMS, how about you actually take on board the feedback and suggestions from the community, instead of instabanning them from the forums for trying to submit a glitch/bug report? Take all that advice from your consumers, put it into future patches and DLC's and you will have a smash hit on your hands, instead of an enjoyable at times but incredibly buggy game. Let me leave you with this quote from Andy Tudor, Creative Director at Slightly Mad Studios. "Project CARS is going to be around for a very long time because we have planned this out, it isn’t going to be a game where we just move on to the next one"
I call bullshit on that one. Rant over.

What I find to be the most ridiculous about this is the £10,000 package thing. I could use that money to buy a PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, PCars 2 on all the platforms it'll come out on, a new bike (because I need one), driving lessons, a first car, upgrades for my PC, a months supply of werther's originals, and I could go on. But I'll stop here. Also they spelt player wrong, in every package they spell it as "Playar".

I'm pissed off and I didn't even buy the first game.
Vote with your wallets. Don't give them any crowd-funding for the sequel. Don't pre-order the game. Don't buy the game. Don't buy any DLC. Simply put, don't support them because that's handing money over to a cynical company who'll then give nothing in return.

Somewhere at Slightly Mad Studios:
"Hey, our game came out 2 months ago, what should we do now?"
"Announce the sequel!"
"Can't we just add these features to the current version?"
"DO AS YOU'RE TOLD!"

They just announced it. You think R* isn't working on a new GTA because they haven't announced it yet?
I wonder what's wrong with announcing a new game, rather than making updates for the current one. You don't know what they're planning to change compared to the current version. Also you don't know how long the development will take - it might be 3 or 4 years, which would make everything not that bad, right?

I've had the game for 3 days now, and I am really enjoying it. It takes time to learn it all, but announcing a sequel so soon. Maybe it will come out in a few years, but I'd rather see some more DLC. In the career mode it says the tiers, and at the bottom loads saying "Coming Soon", there's a few sections on the home screen for game modes saying "Coming Soon", but now I don't know whether it will ever come. The question is whether they'll lose focus on the game, i.e. bugs, DLC, tracks, etc to focus on the sequel. I really hope not. It hasn't annoyed me too much as every company is always working on a new game, but it is kinda soon to announce it already. GT7 wasn't even announced for a massive amount of time after GT6, and even still it says coming 2016, like that's so brief, no details or anything. Here SMS have announced car numbers, rallying, etc. which aren't even in this game, but are so confident that it's in the next. Pundip I feel like you in a way, that this main game was like a BETA Testing Game but paid, to keep the company afloat while they work on the main game. With all the delays, the game was losing support fast so they had to get something out. What I find to be the most ridiculous about this is the £10,000 package thing. Lupacia💕 I have no idea what the £10,000 package thing is, can't find it on the SMS Post, care to explain?

This reminds me of Game Dev Tycoon. Announce a sequel only a couple of months after the first game and everyone will hate you for it. As they should.

All gamestudio's start developing new games afther one month afther release, but doesn't anounce this. The only reason they announced it is becouse they tought the funding system worked for the first time, it will work for the 2nd time. i'm guessing they still dont have enough money to start investing into PCars2, The drifference here with other companies is that Pcars 2 has to be made while the oppsition only releases an anouncement 6 to 12 months before the game comes out. So the anouncement doesn't mean pcars 1 is already death. Pcars2 might not be released for the next 2/3 years.

Oh great, the FNAF of racing games is PCars... so it seems. As soon as one is released, tease the sequel. Utterly horrible way to do business. Yeah, a lot of games are annualized, but they have the decency to announce half a year after the last game was released.

It appears that PCARS 2 will have some focus on sim drifting, don't think this is arcade because you have no idea how many people use Assetto and Live 4 speed for drifting. The physics guys were gathering data during a test with Ryan Tuerck.
You can also race when its snowing
