Paleto Bay, San Andreas - Tuesday, July 7th, 2015. Ron Oil's once-defunct Invetero Racing Team managed to meet its $3,50 GoFundMe goal to the surprise of internet pundits. Much of the capital was used to finance the Cluckin' Bell catering at the morning announcement outside of Beeker's Garage. The graceful bloom of morning muggers and fragrant vagrants set the scene that morning as the hungover but vivacious Asploit took to a pink plastic Barbie® megaphone to make the announcement: "Ladies and Gentlemen of the Ron Oil fuel station and associated convenience store, I'm proud to announce the revival of the Invetero Racing Team along with my participation and that of my partner, a bespoke-helmeted racing driver. ... Some say he wears baggy pants to conceal a third leg used to clutch, and that in the witching hour of the first Monday of a each month he can be seen driving a chrome Adder with dollar-sign rims. All we know is he's called SaberToothWolf."Following the announcement, the gathered homeless dispatched the aformentioned catering and the vehicles were rolled out for display, featuring the factory-standard Black & Yellow scheme. Word from the blogosphere indicated that they were planning on Broughy-Orange, but that was only if the GoFundMe campaign met its stretch goal, which it did not. What happened next remains a bit of a blur to everyone at the scene, but a pink Pegassi Zentorno tornadoed its way in going at about Mach 3, spouting rockets in every direction. When the dust settled, this was all that remained:

Would love to sign up for this. Looks to become really amazing. As you stated that there might be other cars allowed aswell, I might want to drive the Sultan for this, really love that car.. Ofcourse, given that there is another driver who also wants to drive the Sultan so that we could potentially form a team (from my understanding the teams persist of 2 drivers in the same car?).
If not, I'll happily choose a vehicle from the list instead and fill in a non-complete team.
In other words, sign me up! Car to be decided.

If you want to run the Sultan I would welcome some Japanese competition to the American/European marques dominating the series. I just wonder if it can keep up on long straits... Either way, you're in!

I could race the Sultan with you if you want. That would be cool, if you want to ofcourse. I think I still have a Sultan. If I do, I'll join. I already have other cars though, like the modded Carbonazi, which i wanted to race as well... I'll see if I have a Sultan later. I need to conserve space, so I would rather not buy a new one if I don't.

Rumours of a surprise coup as Japanese manufacturer Karin is linked to the Crowex™ SATCC! Watch this space for team announcements. Here's some other photos of the RON Oil Racing Team's press conference in Paleto Bay: Cars #3 and 4 - good looking machines! SabertoothWolF covers her face in shame as team-mate Asp mainlines a Pißwasser Having consumed a number of Pißwasser and showing signs of intoxication, Asploit is momentarily distracted. This is all the opening a deranged, knife-wielding fan needed to strike! Saber looks on, indifferent.

I'll see if I have a Sultan later. I need to conserve space, so I would rather not buy a new one if I don't. I am not opposed to allowing teams to spawn a duplicate of their car for a team mate as the race won't start on the 3, 2, 1, GO mark. However, the driver respawning a new car will likely start at the back of the grid as a result. So if you guys want to see if you can bring the prestige of Italian marque Grotti into the mix, by sharing a Carbonizzare - that would be fine. A few points about the event: I won't playlist the races, I'll just run the 3 or 4 tracks back to back with a brief interlude. Reason being, I will want to change wings and possibly suspension between tracks and I can't imagine that, even though the Comet is more sensitive to undulations, I'd be the only person wanting to tweak settings between races. The final track listing will be posted this week. Expect a lot of country roads! Pit stops - drivers will need to pit twice during the race. When they do this is up to them. A pitstop will knock seconds off your lap time (not just for the time in pits, but the entry and exit) - we will look to ask drivers to self-police a 5 second motionless stop in the pits. Some may go on 4.8s, some on 5.15s, but you get variations in pit stops in real racing anyway. Failure to pit twice will result in 15s being added to your time at the end of the race. If someone would like to volunteer to be a race official (observing all cars doing 2x pits, driving the safety car should a crash of 3 or more cars (or a car on its roof on track) happen - please let me know. Benefactor have made available their Felzter as a safety car, because they're all about branding.

I'd love to join, but I'm afraid I'll be working at the time of the event. I can always try and make it though.

I'd love to join, but I'm afraid I'll be working at the time of the event. I can always try and make it though. Would love to have you if you can make it; I'll put you as a tentative.
Also, for people contemplating their teams - I made sure I secured my team-mate early, and I knew Saber and Asploit could work together so we'd have two teams as a foundation to build the series.
We had finished the Cluck'n'Bell track Ovivo made up in Paleto Bay and were at the petrol/gas station near the mod shop when I said... "if you're looking for a team name, why not go with RON Oil? They're the in-game Shell, seems appropriate..." and they did.
All the GTA Companies can be found in this link, which is also in the opening post:
gta.wikia.com/Businesses_in_GTA_V
Some suggestions:
* Globe Oil (Gulf Oil), Terroil (possibly BP?), and Xero (Exxon Mobil) are all oil companies and oil companies have a strong presence in motorracing. RON Oil (Shell) does too, and have bought a Coquette from Invetero to race in the series. * eCola and Sprunk - Sprunk livery can be found on rare stock cars, Bati 801RR sports bikes and Sanchez dirt bikes. Red Bull in particular have an active presence in motorracing, sponsoring Formula 1, GP2, WEC (Mark Webber is still a Red Bull Athlete), MotoCross, V8 Supercars etc. * Pißwasser, Stronzo, Cerveza Barracho, Dusche - Johnnie Walker sponsor the McLaren-Honda Formula 1 team; Kingfisher Breweries sponsor the Sahara Force India team and of course, Martini have been a long-time presence in motorsports and have title sponsorship with the Williams team. * Maze Bank, Fleeca, Pacific Standard, Schlongberg Sacks - Santander finance sponsors Scuderia Ferrari; KPMG sponsor McLaren, so banks and other financial service providers might be interested in sponsoring a team * Redwood, Cardiaque, Debonaire, Estancia cigarettes - tobacco was banned in FIA sanctioned events but this is Murica, dammit, and freedom reigns surpreme! Politely note but not discuss the obvious Malboro (Redwood) colour scheme on Vettel and Raikonnen's Scuderia Ferrari livery. Think back to to when West supported McLaren Mercedes in the Hakkinen then Raikonnen days.
Note: the organisers of the event have signed a pledge not to allow any arms manufacturers to enter a team this year.
