I would like to stress that this is an experimental track design, and constructive criticism is more than welcome.
Rally Raids, for anyone who doesn't know, are long, predominantly offroad races (generally point to point, and "shorter" ones are less than 200 miles) which test endurance above all else. Pretty much every major event which involves massive offroad sections and hundred-mile-or-longer lengths can be considered a Rally Raid.
With IGG pt. 2, we earned the Coil Brawler, a Rally Raid vehicle if I ever saw one. It fits the "Rally Raid Vehicle" archetype by having very high ground clearance, rally raid-oriented modifications, and performance to match (other than the lack thereof of brakes). Prior to, we had the Rusty Rebel, which had a lot of similar modifications, though it was more applicable for Dakar and Baja, single Rally Raid events.
This pair of tracks are Rally Raids made for serious racing in GTA, which means that they are very long lap races which go around a very large amount of the state, mostly the off-road segments. The two tracks are both built for the Brawler or Rusty Rebel (though other car classes are available), and are very long when compared to "normal" tracks here on NoDo, and are also next to purely off-road. In terms of their raw length alone, the shorter of the two is seven miles long (~15 km for you Metric users).
Enough fluff, let's get to the point.
The Zancudo Rally Raid
7.01 Miles
"When Fort Zancudo wants to enjoy the great outdoors, they do so in the most American way possible: by crushing it under their gas guzzling monstrocity of a car with bad brakes and too much torque. This Raid wraps around the more technical segments of Chilliad State Wilderness, before winding down to a long, even cruise. Made for Brawlers, but other classes can be used. Keep the lap count low, as this is a LONG track."
The Zancudo Rally Raid is the easier of the two Rally Raids, and by that, I mean that you can use motorcycles on it, and the terrain stays closer to the trail. It's also the shorter of the two, but expect 5 minute plus lap times! It wraps around Raton Canyon and takes a scenic route next to the river before braving the harsh near-vertical ascent into Chilliad State Wilderness and wrapping around the north-eastern mountain trails. It then pays a visit to the Altruist Camp, and after a brief tunnel run, we say hey to the Lost MC, then a nice long straight which leads to Fort Zancudo, and after going around Fort Zancudo, the lap is over.
The Land Act Rally Raid
8.32 Miles
"From the beautiful Land Act Resevoir to the arid yet traumatically relaxing Senora National Park, this long Rally Raid course was made for Brawlers, though other classes/vehicles are selectable. Crush more than just what's left of nature through southern Blaine and northern Los Santos. DO NOT USE SANCHEZES OR BLAZERS. Parts of this track are impossible for ATVs/Sanchezes. Keep the lap counter low, this is a VERY long race even with 1 lap."
Not for the unskilled, the Land Act Rally Raid uses more creative paths and more rigid off-roading to really test one's skills with their car, but not motorcycles, which is notable because some segments of this track cannot be performed with a motorcycle. It's the longer of the two as well, and more thoroughly resembles a proper Rally Raid. It starts off on the Sandy Shores Airfield, and shortly after hitting the road, cuts off for some basic off-roading segments, and heads towards Harmony, but cuts off beforehand, and off-roads its way towards the motorway. It then makes a hairpin to enter the Land Act Reservoir's utility roads, and follows them before cutting off-road for some river crossings and gets especially close to the reservoir. It then goes on top of the Dam, and heads towards the RON Alternates Windfarm, where the dirt paths there are mostly disregarded in favor of a more straightforward path. It then leaves the Wind Farm and passes through Davis Quartz, and after some undesignated off-roading through the Senora State Park, heads straight along the train tracks and cuts back to head towards the Sandy Shores Airfield to complete the circuit.
Let me know what you think of these, any potential improvements or suggestions, or if you like this idea of Rally Raids! I might make more if these recieve enough support!
