Surprised no thread on this yet Anybody doing anything big for the game? Who you rooting for? Predictions? I'm stuck at work, but upside have a huge video wall to watch the game on Probably get some pizzas and other finger foods... I'm hoping for the Broncos to pull it out, but odds are it'll be the Panthers.

Cam's Offensive Line was just a mess last night, he got sacked way too much imo

Seahawks fan here. I was pretty indifferent to who would win last night but I was kinda hoping for the Panthers to take it. I really like Cam Newton overall, minus the "black quarterback" stuff he was saying a few weeks ago. I've got a friend who is one of those "real" fans and he supports the Broncos so I'm glad he got the win even though he was blowing up Facebook all night. The Broncos defense was on fire last night and was definitely the best part of the game, besides Talib and his personal fouls like a jerk. Everyone knew they were going to be trouble for the Panthers going into it but they really walked away with it. Von Miller totally deserved the MVP recognition. I was a bit worried they would give it to Peyton Manning even though he didn't really do anything the whole game. Defense wins championships, right? Overall, I thought the game was kinda boring. For the two best teams in the NFL, neither team really played like it. Not all that much happened and neither offense made any big exciting plays. The Panthers might have been a bit too comfortable in the beginning, thanks to just about every source saying the they would blow out the Broncos. I know it's cliche to complain about the refs, but I don't think either Challenge in the 1st half went the right way and that sorta dictated the Panther's offense going forward. The calls got better after that but the damage was done. cameronman1329 if you liked this one definitely give next season a shot because it can be way more fun than you saw.

Really odd game. Didn't expect the Panthers to score 50 points again but surprised the Broncos D was THAT dominant. Wrote them off earlier in the season because all parts of their offence have looked poor at times (Manning throwing interceptions all over the shop, they had literally no running game at one point and the WRs haven't been on top of their game).
How do you feel the Broncos D compared to the Seahawks D of a couple of years ago? I feel like at least the Seahawks had a really smart dual threat QB and a great RB at the peak of his powers, whereas even in this game the Broncos offence looked fairly average.

I'd say the Seahawks/Broncos defense comparison is solid. I will argue that the Panther's offensive line was paper thin which made them more impressive, but I don't think that detracts from how well they did all season long. You're right about the offensive side too. The Broncos seemed pretty average on offense, while the 2013~2014 Seahawks had a strong run game and an above average receiving corps. Not saying the Seahawks were perfect or anything, but I don't believe the 2015 Broncos would walk away with the win.

Not a fan of either really, was hoping the Broncos could take it so Peyton could retire with a 2nd ring. and cam has got plenty more chances ahead of him... btw saki your sig makes me swipe at my screen no matter how many times i see it
