Broughy has a video where he talks about knowing your strengths and weaknesses. Maybe we can talk about what we think our strengths and weaknesses are and give eachother tips on improving or point out someone's strengths that they may not see.
WEAKNESSES: Corner Exit - I need to work on recognizing when to accelerate out of a corner. I seem to always be a tick behind many crew members coming out of corners. This may be compounded by the camera view I use. When I use the camera closest to the rear of the car (which I prefer) I seem to struggle with my acceleration points more. I can get a little timid on tracks like nurburgring (spelling?), or any tracks that I don't know well if at all, where I don't seem to trust my instinct to gas it and people easily pull away from me or easily gain on me.
Consistency - I'm not very consistent at the moment. I'll be up front or chasing the leaders for a lap or two and then I take myself out with a mistake. It happened several times on cherryboyhunters track around the desert air strip (I don't remember the name but I enjoy it quite a bit) where I take the tight 180 or any given section differently almost every lap and it costs me greatly over the course of a race.
Braking - So often I'm unsure whether a turn requires me to brake hard, just a tap, or if at all. Seeing the racing line doesn't always happen as fast as it should in my brain.
Motorbikes - I suck major monkey genitalia on motorbikes. Can't hold a wheelie in a straight line to save the life of my loved ones. If I was given a choice between washing my contact lenses in battery acid and racing my Batti right now, I would have to think long and hard about which would hurt more.
STRENGTHS:
Hot lap - Since I'm not very consistent, I can set the fastest or near fastest lap while losing miserably.
Work hard at racing clean - I don't like being the guy who gets in the back of someone on a corner and ruins someone's race. It happens, especially with me not sure where my break point is on a turn, but I don't like it. Unless it's retaliation I don't intentionally wreck people. I feel a greater sense of accomplishment finding a way around a wrecker than I do driving through them. Sometimes it is a good feeling watching someone who wrecked me spin off the track, but I just prefer clean racing more. I'll
I don't like quiting - I'll keep playing even if I have zero chance of being competitive at times. Unless my dog needs out or something in real life comes up, I rarely rage quit. I was in a playlist with one other driver not to long ago and I didn't know any of the custom tracks, but I spun and limped and DNF'd my way through it.
So, what are you're strengths and weaknesses?

I'll write down my Strengths & Weaknesses later on when it isnt this late But one piece of advice that I do got for you, in regardings of braking & consistency. Like when you approach any corner that you're a bit unsure of, release the trottle and wait with braking until you think its near perfect. Its helps alot because you'll remain having grip and gives you some more time to 'assess' (?) the corner. Atleast, it helped me out a lot. Can cost you time on cornering, but next lap just push it a bit more Also try to accelerate out of a corner as soon as you're stable, also feather the trottle on your way out // Or well not feather, but dont suddenly smash the trottle in corners you never been on

I will work the cornering tips. I think some of my problem is I fiddle too much with the right stick because I use a close camera view. So when I think it's time to speed up, it's a little too late. I ran CC with the camera that seems to attempt to be from the driver's point of view and my exit speed was great. I beat my personal time last night but I don't think I'll be racing much in that view because then I really can't tell where the other driver's are until I hear the grind of our doors mating. I appreciate the tips!

WEAKNESSES
Passing - I'm terrible at it. I race too passively most of the time and avoid taking risks when it comes to passing other drivers. I'd rather not make any sort of contact with another racer because I fear I'll spin them out or they will spin me out, this often leads to me being easy to pass.
Muscle - Can't get familiar with this darn class. The cars are too weird with the handling for me, dislike it. I'll still race them, but I can't perform my best in this class.
STRENGTHS
Memorization/Consistency - I'm very quick with learning tracks and how they flow, I can get myself a racing line and stick to it the whole race without much trouble. Plus, this makes Rally races quite easy for me when I'm the diver. Don't let me get way out in first.
Lap times - My specialty when racing, as long as I'm starting in first place or manage to get in first, I can stick to my racing line without worrying about other drivers getting in the way. I often like racing alone, so I can break a few world records. Or at least attempt to..

I wish I had your ability to remember a track so fast. It takes me several runs of the long tracks to remember them then a few more to get familiar with a line. It took me at least 5 runs of nurburgring before I was comfortable with it and I've only won twice against randoms after turning catchup off. You're lap times are impressive too. I just cannot pass you on the cutting coroners leaderboard for best lap. I think that's you right in front of me twil. I have the 8 lap first place spot for total time on cutting coroners no after being stuck at second for long time but I'm sure you'd smash that...please don't... I get too passive all the time. In a crew race if I'm starting at the front I almost have a panic attack. I don't want to f-up the first corner and be 'that guy' so I often wind up letting people by because I don't trust that I have the same abilities. Or if I start in the middle, back, or any damn where for that matter, my old friend self-doubt smashes the brakes so that I don't rear end a friend and they are long gone. Then I get all 2 fast 2 furiously stupid and make a silly mistake. My car has wound up on a roof while I was in last place... I have a nice streak of finishing last in several all crew lobbies recently or a good 'ol DNF. If there was a leaderboard for that I'd be all over it.

Strengths:Off-Road racing. The Custom Sanchez I have easily whizzes past people on all other upgraded Off-Road vehicles. Muscle cars. I have the two Pontiac's in the game (the Ruiner and the Phoenix) and I love these cars! They're great to do donuts in! XD. To me personally, they seem much more responsive when sliding into corners. Letting others make mistakes. More often than not, there will be people in front of me who are smashing into each other and cause each other to spin out. I'll easily be able to pass them when they spin out and stay in front of them while they continue to battle each other racing. Weaknesses:Super Cars. I don't know what it is, but I rarely do well in Super races. I have a fully upgraded Entity but I'll constantly have other vehicles pass me in it and have a hard time catching up. Passing. Exactly what twilicane here had posted, I don't want to make contact with others so I try to pass cleanly which can take a fortnight to accomplish. GTA mode races. I finish last in them every single time. It never fails. Catching up. When I mess up and end up in last place, I have a hard time recovering. I like to at least finish in the top three. Cursing at the TV when someone spins me out intentionally. I really need to stop doing that. XD.

I'm stating to appreciate muscle cars much more now that I've switched to a Dominator. The Gauntlet spoiled me, even though I was prone to understeer with it quite a bit, it was so much more stable for me and i avoided the rest of the class like the plague. Since switching though I'm so much more comfortable with the class. I raced 3 races last night with randoms set to muscle cars in the rain and even with catchup on I was able to pull away each race.
I get too angry sometimes too. That same group that I beat a few times with muscle cars decided to turn customs off and have 2 of their friends drive backwards and block the road in places. When one of them was parked sideways at a tight spot and the other was driving at me, causing me to wreck and catchup to help his "bros", I lost my temper and promptly lost the next two races. Had I been a little calmer I would have been watching the radar for twiddle-dee and twiddle-dumbass instead of flying through the track in a blind rage. I got over it quickly though by telling myself that's what they MUST do to compete and that they had no other choice. That other 'crew' of idiots lost 8 of 10 to just one of us even using 2 guys as blockers. If people are spinning you out, I found the best defense quite often is to tap the brakes and turn away from them slightly. Sometimes nothing works and you'll always spin but letting go of the gas and thumbsticks as your car spins until it's facing the right direction again, then gassing it, can get you correct really quick. But it is up to luck quite often.

I can't stand when people team up and block you/take you down like that! It's the reason why some nights I can't sleep! And thanks for the tip about trying to maintain control when someone hits you! I'll have to start trying that. I try not to be one of those people who if someone hits me, I hit them. But Jesus tap dancing Christ, some people just make my blood boil. As in, they'll spin me out and later in the race I'll be able to pass them and later on when they catch up they'll spin me out YET AGAIN. THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS! XD

Okay, here are mine.
Weaknesses :
Entering corners - I may take corners in a not-so-optimal way (or in some cases too optimal, perhaps), and that results in me missing checkpoints or hitting lampposts. That may be because I'm a bit too confident sometimes. But I guess it's a fairly common issue for rookie racers like myself.
Off-road - I don't know, I like those races, but never won a single one of them. Not my type of driving, I guess.
OCD - Yup, I have them. I might get distracted by my wrists or the walls, and stop playing for a half a second, just enough time for my car to meet the nearest barrier. Then again, it might not happen. It's not a severe case so I'm fine most of the time, but it did cost me one or two races.
Guilt - Sounds silly, but when I accidentally bump into another player's car or make a mistake while driving, I'll focus on that and analyse what just happened instead of forgetting about it and keeping my head on the game.
Careful driving - I'll often always choose slowing down over going full speed. Sometimes it's an advantage and helps me win, sometimes my opponents exploit my careful attitude (or do not fall off their bikes while speeding even though they just ate every wall in the neighbourhood, oh well) and pass me.
Strengths :
Adapting - This is a direct consequence of my "guilt" weakness. I rarely make the same mistake twice, so once I'm done analysing the situation, I remember it and should be okay for the next laps, or the next races.
Clutching - If I happen to be in the lead, I'll often do the right thing while others may feel more pressure and fool around. I have fairly good reflexes as well so I'm not easily surprised by the road or my opponents, that helps making the right decisions.
New tracks - I noticed I usually win in tracks almost no one knows. I almost never go the wrong way or miss the exit.
Composure - I don't rage. Much. I don't mind losing, since the way I see it I still "win" driving lessons from those better than me... It's still something. I'm not a "toxic" player, I'm all about having fun and not a really competitive guy.

I think the Dominator makes me think ahead a lot more, especially when using my custom. There are loads of tracks I've not taken it on yet so I can't really say I like it everywhere. However, I'm much more cautious deciding when to ease in and out of a corner or when to throw the car into it. I especially like the dominator in the rain. I'm already being cautious with it and a dominator in the rain seems to force me to focus on my major weakness which is never really trusting when to gas it out of a corner. It will get ass happy in a heartbeat but when you're on it, it's a beast to beat. The Ruiner is something I'm going to get when the garages expand...then run you over with it as you leave the golf course
