I'm a little confused about my position in the Showdown. It still shows me under reserves even though I thought I was replacing Nitrous Flare For some reason my AJAX plugin crashes every time I update one of my posts / replies. Therefore I cannot update the thread anymore. You are still reserving for NitrousFlare. |

Hey GalantEvo , Divait , myself, and a few others have been talking about the idea of limiting fps in this event. I know it's a bit late but we think it's an important matter. Anyone who has driven on the track can tell immediately that it's centred around high top speed, since the corners are so open. This leaves people with a higher frame rate at a massive advantage, easily making 1-2 seconds on the average driver (running 60fps) per lap. It's your event all the way, but I think this would help make the event a little more fair and not pay2win. Hero |

Just Hero , That's actually something I've thought about. We will not be having a FPS cap, due to this race being a test for a future racing series I'm going to be hosting. Therefore, this event is not to be taken that seriously ( of course I'm expecting clean racing etc, but don't feel depressed if you don't get 1st).

This week we had a small 6 people lobby with Grumples_Plox (grimreaper977) and there were one guy from Nodo playing in 180fps or something like this. I would say me or another experienced driver would be 2-3 secs faster with maximum fps compared to 60. GalantEvo, if you don't have a 144Hz Monitor or G-Sync, then you will be maybe slower due to all the screen trearing you will have without V-Sync. |

As someone who frequently plays at more than 60fps due to a 144hz monitor, I decided to try 60fps locked on the track.
With 90fps (my usual locked fps) the best I've managed is a 1:13.010 with the Infernus.
With 60fps (locked, not V-sync) the best I've managed is a 1:13.214 with the Infernus.
The difference on this track is minor, at least up to 90fps. Most issues seem to come when you go to 120fps or above, maybe 100fps should be max or near that threshold.

Could be that I cannot make it, too, since I have to drive now 2x60km to pick up a car. So a reserve with a Vacca for Buckingham Palace Racing should be ready, please.

Just came back now. Sorry for disappoint you in this situation GalantEvo. To look at Teamspeak, 7 people doesn't show up, not counting jeffrey since his reserve does show up. This sucks  At least tell people so there is a slight chance to find a reserve. |
