McLaren Racing - Progress UpdateMcLaren have been testing the MP4-12C GT3 car extensively, its distinctive bespoke orange livery easily recognisable on any track. Top three finishes, including some wins, have characterised the performance though the drivers are still working through minor setup issues. "It's a bit frustrating, to be honest," says lead driver Endersai. "We had the car perfectly set up, with excellent top speed down Kemmel Straight, pace through the corners, and 2:21 lap times comfortably. We made some minor tweeks since and we're 2-3 seconds off that pace, chewing up tyres, and capping out about 5-10km/h slower than before." Nonetheless, McLaren remain optimistic. "Yeah look, the car itself is a phenomenal package and I've seen Saber take the #60 out and push hard on the Aston Martin guys, without much adjustment to the basic factory settings so I think if we can test out our setups getting points will be a given and getting a podium or even win should be doable." Hi guys Restrictor settings. See here first: forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?44870-On-the-balance-of-the-GT3-class-(in-game)Right now one of the settings for each car is a factor called "Restictor", which is a value that adds to the overall aero of the car. It would strike me as fair to report on the highest settings of the cars and then standardising that figure across the range, since I know the BMW Z4 has 2x the restrictor setting of the 12C GT3. Thinking of setting it to 30 across the range. Thoughts?

No need for restrictions here, i think the biggest restriction in this game will be the driver's skill anyways, so it doesn't matter too much who has a very slightly better car. endersai pls

endersai, I already have a setup with which I can get 2:21. I only have no idea what it does with the tires. It might ruin them within a few laps Btw full throttle through blanchimont is awesome

jeffreyb1990 -- I did a 15 lap test with soft slicks and it was fine,, obviously if you lock up the wheels or run off the track the tires will wear more..

I need to watch the tires more in the future.. Mine were almost half way worn after the 8 lap race yesterday.. I think that's not that good or am i wrong?

Not good. I can easily run the 8 laps practice we do with less than 1/2 tire wear. It may be the setup you run,, or locking brakes ,,running wide on turns etc....
