Quick rulesThe Cup consists of
6 races.
- Free practice lasts for 20 to 30 minutes, it isn’t properly a race and allows drivers to choose from the pool of available cars, as well as getting familiar with the track.
- Qualifying gives every driver 5 hotlaps around the track to set a best lap time.
- Heats are two 10-minutes long races, the starting grid is formed with the qualifying results.
- Pre-final is a 15-minutes long race with 1 mandatory drive through the pits. The starting grid is based on the first 3 races results.
- Final is a 20-minutes long race with 2 mandatory drive through the pits. You start where you finished the pre-final.
We respect the NODO community guidelines, and also:
- Frame rate limited to 60 FPS;
- Curb-surfing forbidden;
- Mandatory 10.000$ bet on yourself in the final race.

Sunday Cup regulations
Article 1. Organisation
1.1. The San Andreas Automobile Federation ("SAAF") organises the Sunday Cup ("the Cup"). Every point these regulations does not cover falls under the
Nonchalant Dominance Community Guidelines.
1.2. Schedule
1.2.1. The Cup is held monthly, on a Sunday.
1.2.2. The race meeting starts at 5.45 pm UTC. The free practice session starts at 6 pm UTC. The Cup lasts for approximately two hours.
Article 2. Competitors and drivers
2.1. The Sunday Cup is open to every
eligible member of the Nonchalant Dominance crew.
2.2. A maximum of 24 drivers will be accepted. The SAAF reserves the right to change the number of drivers. Participating in every trial is
mandatory.
2.3. The SAAF will hold any application by order of receipt until all 24 spots are taken.
2.4. Every application received after the maximum of 24 will be put into the reserve drivers list. Reserve drivers will be called before the Cup starts, if needed, by order of arrival.
2.5. Sign-ups
2.5.1. Every driver willing to participate in the Cup has to sign-up on the board.
2.5.2. Drivers can request a specific driver number between 0 and 999 upon sign-up. Otherwise, they will be assigned one.
2.5.3. One driver spot is reserved to the last Cup’s winner. That spot is freed one week before the tournament if he doesn’t use it.
2.5.4. In case of a driver opting-out, another driver from the reserve list can have his spot.
2.5.6. Once the qualifying session starts, no additional driver can join.
Article 3. Material and equipment
3.1. Vehicles
3.1.1. Drivers are driving production ("stock") cars provided by the SAAF.
3.1.2. A maximum of 5 different cars are available for a track.
3.1.3. Drivers may use the free practice session to try out any of the available cars. They must pick one and stick with it for the rest of the Cup. Keeping the same colour is recommended.
3.2. All drivers must install a
TS transponder in their car in order to communicate with race officials and other drivers.
3.3. Drivers are highly encouraged to limit their engines at 60 FPS if they are looking for a fair fight.
Article 4. Racing regulations
4.1. The start of the race is announced by the race officials.
4.2. The pit lane is always open but pit stops are not mandatory, except in the pre-final and final race. See sub-articles 5.5 and 5.6.
4.3. A single curb can only be used once in a lap. Curb-surfing is forbidden.
4.4. The starting grid is a standard 2 x 12 grid, with one car length between two cars.
4.5. Drivers have to let enough space for lapping cars to pass them easily when they get notified by a blue flag or by their TS transponder.
4.6. Grid penalties may be issued in case of misconduct.
Article 5. Race schedule
5.1. The racetrack is unveiled when the Cup starts. The race officials go through a short briefing.
5.2. Free practice
5.2.1. The free practice session is held for 20 to 30 minutes.
5.2.2. All drivers proceed to a formation lap, then may use the remaining time however they want, getting familiar with the track and trying one or multiple cars.
5.2.3. Drivers are sharing the track and the cars. The free practice is meant to be a convivial time of sharing and respect.
5.3. Qualifyings
5.3.1. Each driver has 5 hotlaps around the track.
5.3.2. Once a driver has completed his 5 hotlaps, he must stop in the pits and wait for further instructions to finish the race.
5.3.3. Drivers are ordered by lap time, and score points as determined in article 6.1.
5.4. Heats
5.4.1. Drivers race two heats.
5.4.2. One heat is about 10 minutes long.
5.4.3. Drivers grid up according to their qualifying position for both heats.
5.4.4. Drivers score points as determined in article 6.1.
5.5. Pre-Final
5.5.1. The pre-final race is about 15 minutes long.
5.5.2. Drivers grid up according to their standings, based on the sum of the points they scored in qualifyings, heat 1 and heat 2.
5.5.3. In the case of a tie, qualifying results are used to decide the drivers’ starting position.
5.5.4. Each driver has to complete 1 drive through the pits, anytime after the first lap and before the last lap.
5.5.5. Failure to complete a drive through will result in a last position grid penalty for the final.
5.6. Final
5.6.1. The final race is about 20 minutes long.
5.6.2. Drivers grid up according to their pre-final finishing position.
5.6.3. Each driver has to complete 2 drive through the pits, anytime after the first lap and before the last lap.
5.6.4. Failure to complete two drive through will result in a disqualification.
Article 6. Rankings
6.1. Qualifyings and heats
6.1.1. Drivers score points for their qualifyings, heat 1 and heat 2 results.
6.1.2 Points are attributed in a reversed fashion, according to the finishing position. The less points, the better.
1st : 0 point
2nd : 1 point
3rd : 2 points
4th : 3 points
...
6.2. No points are scored for the pre-final and the final.
6.3. The winner of the final race wins the cup.
Article 7. Prizes
7.1. Drivers must bet $10,000 on themselves for the final race.
7.2. The winners are awarded medals that establish the Sunday Cup all-time leaderboard.
7.3. Medals won each Cup stack up : 3x
bronze medals equals 1x
silver medal ; 2x
equals 1x
gold medal.
