That's actually quite interesting. However, I do have all this cranked up to maximum. But yeah, if anybody doesn't they might try it.

I SWEAR TO MOTHERFUCKING GOD I'LL BLACKLIST THIS SITE IN MY ADBLOCKER IF I GET ANOTHER AD WITH SOUND!!!! D=< Rant over, would like to add this to EDDI2142 and martindurin 's posts: "Population Variety is unique in that has no effect on performance, but can affect visual fidelity quite considerably. The simplest explanation of its function is this: if there are 100 vehicles in the game files, and 50 civilians, 50% Population Variety will load 50 vehicles and 25 civilians into your video card's memory (VRAM), and randomly place them in the world. With 100% Population Density this would result in multiple copies of each vehicle and civilian appearing in each scene, reducing immersion once you notice the numerous clones. By increasing Population Variety you reduce the chance of this occurring, and see a greater variety of vehicles on the roads." SourceNow, I don't know if this is an accurate explanation of what the Population Variety setting does, but judging by what Nvidia says it can't hurt turning it up all the way. This will, if above explanation is correct, give a higher chance of finding the vehicle you want. I do have everything on max and I still get the 200 bullets or banshees or whatever car in a row

SourceFrom my experience with SAMP, the more models there are loaded, the more VRAM is needed. However, I think that setting has no effect on GTA Online because everyone can see the same cars (or atleast, in crowded places, where more than 1 player can see the same vehicles). By that logic, if a random player set that to a high number, that would mean another player would have to see each vehicle model the other guy has, therefore, if he has a shittier computer, he would start lagging.

I set this slider to 0% becuase I only have 2GB vram. My assumption is that maybe, each player individual settings generates cars around his area. So when I am alone in the district, low variety of vehicles appear, but when I enter district with player or players with their variety at max., there is more cars? This would (maybe) also explain that I can sometimes find cars above my "variety", becuase they drove in from another higher variety (other players) district? That would explain why I can find certain cars when I am near other players, but I can't when I am alone (in same session).

As far as I know the variety of cars depends on the car you drive or the last one you have driven. Similar cars will spawn, but in my experience everyone in the session has an effect on the spawning. However the further away from you they are the smaller their effect on the spawning in your area.

Finally managed to duplicate some cars! Now I have to level up my second character and try the cooldown bypass, but I got so excited when I saw my garage full of beautiful Tailgaters!

How much do they sell for? My second character is only level 14, so ATM everything I can put on the car is horn, wheels (not chrome), bumpers and spoilers. Only with these mods, the Tailgaters I have sell for about 70k. I think the Schafter is still the best but it may be an option, although it is probably one of the rarest vehicles to spawn so defo not worth the time.

From my experience the Schwartzer has the highest selling value (somewhere near to 200k). Also it's quite common when I was still doing this the schwartzer sold for 204k. Also, the schwartzer is quite rare for me but 99% of the time the session I found a schwartzer in was a session in which this glitch worked =D

I don't understand the resetting sell cool down. If you're disconnecting yourself from the game, surely that means the car will despawn. And the cooldown appears after every time you sell right? So that means the car will despawn after every time you sell. Meaning you have to do up a car each time. I haven't tried this yet btw.

You dupe the cars as many times as possible (this is limited by the amount of free spots you have in your garage). 2. You sell all the duped cars 1 by 1 using the cool down override glitch (not mandatory though) Oh yeah, I knew i was missing something

Thanks for the detailed description, that was very helpful. However, it's still not straight forward to make it work. I for myself am right now at the point of barely breaking even, because I had a few failed tries. Maybe people can benefit from my mistakes: a) for me the chances of finding a session where it worked in seemed substantially improved when I didn't have a personal car in use, i.e. I left my garage on foot after spawning in it b) just because it works with one car doesn't mean it'll necessarily work with the next. I did a test run with any random car I found and I could duplicate it. So I went in the very same session to find me a nice Schafter, upgraded it and didn't manage to get it working with the 2nd car (boom 300+k gone). Since then I spawn into a session, search for a suitable car, try to dublicate it without updates and go for updating afterwards c) If you've managed to prep a car for dublicating, DON'T step out of it into your garage again! This will crash the game. On my third run, I tried this approach. As I wasn't sure whether a car that was successfully duplicated and then updated in a 2nd LScustom run needs to be primed again, I tried the "enter the garage from your car" step again and boom, the game crashed (another 300+k gone) d) Make sure the session is idiot-free (at least as much as one can, I mean it's still GTA). People might know what you are doing, and if they are resourceful (so, they're actually not idiots, but rather smart scumbags ), they call Lester to hide their blib, sneak up on you and steal your blueprint car from under your nose while you're in your garage storing the first duplicate. (yep, another 300k) e) the random disconnects where everyone else seems to be leaving your session can stop it from working. Happened to me after another try and the first duplication (at this point I am 1.5 mil down after 2h trial and error). Another time it happened, the blueprint car was still working and I could continue duplicating. f) make sure, there are no cheaters in the session. On one successful try I passed a pink fighter jet wreck (tell-tale sign, I'd say ) and afterwards I got an immediate 4-star wanted level as soon as I entered the duplicate cars. (Quite tedious, but I managed to cut my losses there) g) some locations work marvellous, others not really: Exceptionalist way (10 car garage): excellent spot to do it, though a bit exposed to the public Greenwich Parkway (10car garage): not really good, as accepting a mission in front of it will make you respawn at the airport, you need to move quite a bit away to the main road to do it - with the risk of your blueprint car disappearing Richards Majestic (appartment & 10 car garage): absolutely impossible to park in a way that you can step directly from car to garage In the end I did it successfully with a Sentinel XS, yielding 196k each with the following updates (all maxed out) Armor Brakes Bumpers Engine Exhaust Horn (SA Loop) Lights Xenon Roll Cage Skirts Spoiler Suspension Transmission Turbo Wheels (SUV Chrome Extravaganzo) Bulletproof Tires

After finding a session whick works, I tried duping 2 stock cars and storing them in my garage before fully modding a vehicle, and If the original didn't despawn while I was inside my garage, the duping after worked great for me. So far, 2 tries, 100% success rate after taking that extra step.

As I said, removing your own personal vehicle + blowing up test car almost always stops your dupe car from despawning.

Terrific day for me yesterday. Tried (counted them) 13 (13!) different sessions before finding one where finally the test car dupes. So I immediately picked up a Schafter, modded it... And it despawns after the first dupe even though I blew up the test car, no one was around etc...
