I too am playing F1 2016, went for my favorite team Red Bull and chose Max as my teammate. I play on legend difficulty with no braking assist and racing line (corners only).
To play with me add Moe_Yungster

I've gone McLaren in career mode. But the Logitech G920 wheel is only optimised for consoles. Bit shit on PC. The net effect is I need braking assist because the brakes don't properly register. So I have them set to low to help.
At 60FPS this game looks amazing!

I've played it for 19 hours since release and I can say I really enjoy the game.
I decided to start at Renault (since it's an amazing looking car) with Jolyon Palmer as my team mate. I play on expert difficulty without assists but the racing line in the corners. Maximized all the settings on I dont know how many fps and it looks amazing.

I am thinking about picking this game up. Do you guys think it is good? Also: how is the ai and can you battle with them? And is online just a ram fest or can you get clean racing?

It's a big adjustment coming from a dominant F1 2012 season and disinterest in F1 2013 (it was better with wheels, I understand) - the cars are so different obviously, but without 2014 and 2015 to really guide me to the new format, the adjustment is more severe than first thought.

I'm thinking of buying this game as well. The one and only codemaster F1 game I've played was the 2010 version (I think). Do you guys play with a wheel? Are you able to be competitive with just a controller?

Although a wheel would be nice, I think I don't game enough to spend that amount of money on a wheel ^^ I'll give it a shot with the controller.
