Hi All I've finally had time to make a race I'm happy with and would really appreciate some feedback. I'll be hosting it when I can so keep your eyes peeled! rsg.ms/546d8c5Le Grand PrixDESCRIPTION In a desperate attempt to attract more European tourists and Euros to Los Santos, local businesses have clubbed together to organise 'Le Grand Prix'. Despite its dire name, this is a real driver's race - fast, tricky with few opportunities to take in the local attractions - in other words, ideal!

Cool, I added it to my game. I'll play with it for a while and let you know what I think.
Thank you for sharing it!

Raced it, liked it, could use a warning about those corners near the end, considering how tight they are and sudden after breaking up the faster wider corners of legion square they were a nice way to mix things up, though in a race environment I can see a lot of bumps around there with everything.
Could use a warning in the description about that at the end of it something like 'BEWARE: Tight Corners near End.' or something.
That's about it, it's a nice race

It's pretty good, however...
You need to move a lot of the checkpoints closer to the apexes. You also have far too many, especially on some of the straights. Having to go through one every two seconds isn't necessary.
For the most part the prop placement is pretty damn good, but there's a few sloppy ones, like that tyre stack right next to the wooden pole by checkpoint 5. It's not needed. It's also personal preference but the big blue barriers by the bridge (mmmh alliteration) are really ugly. Just use some striped barriers or tyres for that race track look.
Oh and I'd remove that alleyway section entirely. That's fine for compacts, or a more gimmicky and fun GTA style race but if you're going to call it a Grand Prix then that kind of section should be removed IMO.

Thanks axdsilva & @driftin, I really appreciate the feedback and will try and sort this asap. Yes I think I might rethink the alleyway section, I wasn't sure about it, especially with a lot of people. Props - the big blue barriers were there rarther than striped concrete as the're much easier to spot coming round that fast corner but I hear ya. I'll move the checkpoints too. Thanks again

Any constructive criticism I would have about it was pretty well coverd in the above comments, I raced it with some fellow crew members and we both wiped out infront of the gas station, a light pole does not always show up until you are in it during a high speed bike race, wouldn't matter much in a car but it kills the bike driver. Not sure what, if anything, that could be done about it though.
That being said... I loved the race!! the turns gave enough room for the fastest of vehicles to pick great race lines, the more you race it the more fun it gets. I'm not the best racer but I was getting under 1:18 consistently in a car and 1:10ish in a bike, I feel that I can improve on that and can't wait to try. The race makes the driver feel like a real badass!!
Thanks again for sharing!!

Thanks also Mr_Chewbacca1138 for trying it and your comments. I've reworked it now from the feedback and changed the end completely to remove the alley section. If you have time, I'd like to know your thoughts...

Massive improvements, it's really good now it's quite tricky but really satisfying when you connect it and get it right. The only issue I have with it is something that's out of your control: A van keeps spawning on the main straight, and also right on the racing line by the hairpin - and it's doing so without even me respawning. Very annoying.

Thanks @driftin! It's great to have such good mentors on here. Yeah it's not an easy track, thought it was ok when testing it on my own, as soon as you have some competition it all goes a bit pear-shaped for me... Enjoyed it too thefroc! though less chuffed about getting nailed on my own track so quickly Really enjoyed making the race, think there'll be more to come... oh and just to say, if you see any asteroids or white planes around legion sq i didn't put em there, modders are back...

Nice updates, I like how you keep it on the track in a few places. I raced the improved track with both NODO and randoms. Even the randoms were able to get the hang of it.
This is an advanced track for sure but I think it can be fun for just about anyone with more than just basic skills. Great job, easy to follow checkpoints. Quite an accomplishment for such a long and complicated track.
