neutreN jsantospt Codex_PT84βππ, still wating for a sponsor, which isn't a car manufactor or a gas company. If every other team sent me a picture for the OP, and you still don't have a sponsor, I select one from the pit lane for you, which has a unique colour scheme from the other teams.

Thanks Dnl_Jackson and Sarah , finally. I don't get how some of you can use lock and cap as synonyms, lock meaning that it will not change from 60, and cap meaning it'll be below 60. It isn't the same to lock your fps to 60 or lock your monitor's refresh rate to 60Hz, and then use v-sync. Because you are locking a monitor refresh rate, and not caping it. Also OP says "FPS Limit", limit means cap, and not lock. Just sounded like you thought, that I was trying to get away with breaking the rules.

Vsync locks the framerate to the display refresh rate, if for some reason your PC can't provide a frame in time for the display refresh, it will drop that frame.
It avoids screen tear but causes stutter in less powerful PCs
If you have a Nvidia card you can use adaptive sync, it will use vsync if your PC can deliver the 60 frames per second but if for some reason the PC goes under than framerate it drops vsync.
So no stutter but you will get screen tear under your display refresh rate.
And the best of both worlds is gsync/FreeSync, the game is locked to your display refresh rate, but if for some reason your PC draws a frame late your display can adjust his own refresh rate to draw the frame later than usual, and eliminating any stutter and screen tear.

Thanks, actually I do use an Nvidia card. I don't really care about tear, so I'll just go with dxtory, if I still have that, otherwise I'd use adaptive sync.
