Block has done the impossible: make a car even less tasteful than what I see in GTA free roam. Wash you mouth with soap my friend! Lol

I'm kind of a Block hater.
Hate the whole Monster drinking, flat brim wearing bro style. They always think drifting is fast and generally can't drive worth a damn.
I'm looking at you, teenaged STI owner who tried to race me on a two-lane on-ramp and nearly totaled your car when you braked like a grandma for a gradual turn and lost the rear end.
/rant

Despite what my name suggests I can't stand drifting as a motorsport. I think it looks stupid, it's not really racing if it's much slower than regular driving and based on subjective style points, the people who take part in it or admire it are usually bros who watch too much of The Fast and the Furious movies, who think under-car neons and huge subwoofers are cool, and who usually make right tits of themselves on public roads by driving dangerously /rant

How did you connect teenaged STI driver w/ bros though? lol I don't really care for the looks of the 'stang either, but I can definitely appreciate the work put in it and its output, which is amazing. I don't know much about Ken Block, outside of founding DC Shoes and Gymkhana, but find his Gymkhana vids extremely entertaining to watch.

I really want one myself. I want to get a 2012-2014 hatch or sedan, but prices on those are sky high.

When I was in HS so many Monster brosephs drove STIs and "gymkhanad" the HS parking lot every afternoon. It got ridiculous.

There's a reason why they're never timed... Or why they're called drift competitions and not drift races. Anybody that thinks the way you've described in your post has probably watched too much F&F only I'm pretty sure you won't find neons or huge subs in any D1GP or Formula D car. Real drifting on a world-class level is an art and that's the only ones I'll usually watch. Unfortunately, as you've pointed out, the crowd majority it attracts isn't the best (especially here in the US), but they are definitely a misrepresentation of the sport. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drifting_(motorsport)#Drift_competitionen.wikipedia.org/wiki/D1_Grand_Prix#D1_Street_Legal

Lupaciađź’• it wasn't quite the nineties, but I remember growing up watching Petter Solberg in his Subaru in the WRC and just thinking, 'that's what I want to do when I grow up' aha so that's basically how I got into cars and racing, plus my family has been watching F1 for decades so there was kind of no escaping it
