I was kinda hoping for 30... Requires more racecraft, and tracks that can handle that many drivers, but that shouldn't be too hard to find... We'll wait and see what other people think, but you have to take into consideration the amount of lag there could be Yeah, we would need to do some test runs first to see what's actually viable.

Right so I'm thinking we split it into 2 divisions. So I will make 2 divisions with 15 spots right. Div 1 and Div 2. 30 racers on one track will be so hectic so i think this is a better option right. At the end of the season, the top 3 drivers in Div 2 move up to Div 1 and the bottom 3 from Div 1 go down to Div 2. Opinions? I was kinda hoping for 30... Requires more racecraft, and tracks that can handle that many drivers, but that shouldn't be too hard to find... More racecraft? You mean more mayhem.. The grids need to be long enough so not everybody arrives at the first corner bc ppl just can't wait, you can almost never fit a long grid on these roads. When you start at the back, you first need to pass so many ppl to get in the top spots just to see the first places are already long gone. Lapping people will be hard, as seen in the multi class endurance. ... I think 15 is better. Also much better when people haven't got a good connection since they will dc faster when there are more ppl.

If this is random then ignore this comment, but if it is to selected who's in what division, put me in 2 as i am pretty shocking at racing as most of you know

Also much better when people haven't got a good connection since they will dc faster when there are more ppl. More racecraft required, because people trying to be first around the first corner will cause mayhem regardless of how many players there are. With 30 players in an endurance race the key is patience, and not aiming for top pace from the start. The entire point of a championship is that the entire race is not about the first places but about improving your position. If you want the top spots, qualify in the top spots by setting a good lap time. If not you got to work your way up there. When will people start to realise that racing and racecraft isn't just about the top spots? should we make it 3 people in each division so only the people in the top 3 spots battle it out? Because if not, there will be people further behind regardless. Lapping people and big start grids is only hard if that's your mentality, if your mentality is that it's hard because it's more difficult to get 1st it will be. If your mentality is that you always want to have right of way, lapping people will be hard. Fact is, coming up from behind you DON'T have right of way and you need to adjust. It's all a part of racecraft, and if we're going to start with the mentality that it's something that can be disregarded just because you feel you have more right then anybody else to get first we can just as well set all our leagues and championships to be non-contact hotlapping 1v1 battles. Because you're not respecting the challenges of making your way through traffic and such if you're expecting to be able to just mow straight through it. This is one thing we need to be very clear on going into a contact championship, regardless. You DON'T have the right of way just because you're able to hold a faster pace. If you can hold a faster pace, it's your job to find a way past that doesn't endanger the other driver. It's not their job to accomodate you. Connection issues are a valid point, but we don't know yet how much of an issue it will be so we need to do test runs when people have signed up with all participants to see what number of people is ideal based on peoples connection.

IRL, this ^ is why qualifying exists. Qualifying means a uniform distribution of pace throughout the starting grid front to back and so less crashes at the start caused by completely mismatched racers taking the first corners at completely different speeds.

Possibly but I don't want to sign up when I'm not entirely sure. Just go head as you would and if there's a spot (or when more details emerge) I'll see if I can jump in.

Theres a few people on the list who are unsure if they can make it but I'll put you on the list anyway and if you can't make it then you can just be removed or whatever

I'd love to sign up, my problem is that my only solid free time is after 8:00pm (EST = GMT-5) on Fridays and Saturdays. All the events I've drooled over in the past seem to fall on other times. If an event can fall into my solid free time, I'm all over it! PS4 PSN = Strikeslip I was hoping to do it between starting at 8pm GMT - 11pm GMT but we'll see what happens I could do 11pm GMT on a Saturday, but that would require special dispensation from The Wife.
