Saw in one other thread that neons affect the handling too. Gonna try it and tell you the results Really?

Most secretive community ever !?!

Hey you have to keep some stuff secret if you wanna be the best I am sure pretty much all the top racers do different things that help but have not told people and there is probably 100s of different ways to improve laptimes that not everyone knows about.

I can't disagree with you there, but I think a lot of it starts out as stupid things they think people will take the piss out of them for thinking. The neons is a good example - I'm still in a state of shock such a thing makes a difference. Another one I heard was someone doesn't use bullet proof tyres. Again they sound crazy but if you believe it makes a difference, chances are it will for you.

Well there is regular short shifting and then there is a way that you can skip a few gears pretty much instantly on quite a few gradient changes on the map by doing it in a slightly different way. You can also go intentionally slow around some corners so that you change down a extra gear and then hit a bump and short shift so you don't get stuck in the higher gear as the speed you get from the bump excels you to a quicker speed than you would of by just taking the corner normally. Now I will shut up

@ogfringe KingBlazeIV Got this one last night recommended to me, and thought you'd like to try / maybe I'm late and you already tried it. Osiris. Stock fenders bumpers etc, (including brakes) , the biggest spoiler, raiders tyres.... Enjoy

I wonder how many people "knew" about this setup quirk and kept it quiet? Most secretive community ever !?! I'd imagine probably the usual suspects, the guys who knew about short shifting; merph, neo, shaggy, etc. I actually discovered this recently. I asked Smithy to test it out after a couple of days of testing neons on different cars, and then we both reported our findings to Chilli. As far as keeping things secret, anyone can test these things out, it's just that some people are either too lazy to try or are not skilled enough to even notice a difference. Then they complain when they weren't told straight away. Life is full of people who expect everything to be done for them and from my experience it's no different on GTA V.

Merphos I wasn't suggesting you were holding anything back, just to clarify. As the most skilled driver in the game, then certainly I'd be interested to know your findings and if there's anything "in" the neons theory. I'm sure it'll all be out in the open via chilli, or yourself or smithy shortly either way. Thanks for your input merphos.

Enjoy I never have really bothered to have learn to drive the Osiris but since Cunning Stunts the T20 just feels awful to me so I think I will attempt to learn either the Zentorno/Osiris for my main Super, the sad thing is that Supers is my weakest class unless I am driving the Cheetah which I find I am only slightly slower with which is a problem haha. I will be sure to try this setup, I usually use the bumpers on the Osiris so I will try without and for the brakes I didn't think on a car like the Osiris it would matter which one you chose unless it is raining etc.
