Hello, some of you may know me, some may not.
I'm going to make this post bigger and more detailed than I probably should, but I don't really care.
So this is a milestone for me in two ways as you have seen by the title (I hope).
This will be my 1,000th post on the forums as well as it being 2 years since my first post! ..that being my introduction thread.
Being 2 years into the crew is really cool and although I'm not really one of the veterans I do feel I have a lot of experience racing on GTAV, and other racing games in general. Pretty much all of that is because of the members in the XB1 side of the crew. Being able to jump right into GT2 of MCEC2 on XB1 was pretty cool, what with there not being many people on at the time. Having to be put straight in the deep end did help a lot and getting 4th at the end of the season was a big achievement for me, at the time. At first I was struggling with money to get all the cars for the season and didn't imagine to be fighting within the Top 3 for most of championship. After that more people came onto XB1 and got to be known. It was great seeing the crew grow from almost Day 1, starting from barely getting 8 people in a lobby, to nearly getting 16. I think the record we had was 24 people because someone from another crew was hosting and 4 different crews ended up being in the playlist. - NoDo, Cloud9, Impromptu & Race Crew.
2016 was a big year and a good one for myself, for the most part. Starting off with the Crew's Slack Team Channel, I joined that and not long after met a bunch of new members, mainly from other platforms, and then not too soon after (because of Twilicane & Jetta) became a brony. Obviously there were mixed reactions that members on XB1 gave, but it was mostly good. I think after I became a brony it changed a lot about me and actually helped me think about life in a different way, as well as it helping me through my suicidal stage. I've got to thank them I guess as I don't know what it would have been like if they didn't introduce me into ponies. There are a few more things that happened last year, but I will not go into them as they are either personal, or not a thing to talk about without a bigger moderation. I'd rather be mature about it and just move on.
For XB1 I have done a 2 seasons of a GT Championship. You've probably seen quite a few events in this format of using the mid-tier Sports cars in the game. Season 2 for my Championship went very well I felt. It featured the; 9F, Surano, Schafter V12, Comet, Bestia GTS (coming half way through the season), Verlierer, Banshee, Carbonizzare, Coquette & Alpha. However it had a unique element to balance out the cars with the driver earning extra points for using a slower car. For example, the Coquette gave the driver 3 extra points on top of the points for their finishing position, whereas the Comet would only give you 1 point extra. I admit that it didn't go as I planned. I thought that it would make less drivers use the 9F and go for a Banshee, but that's not how it turned out and people still chose the 9F most of the time. I ended up with 34 in total signing up, and 28 drivers participating in a race, due to me kicking some drivers who didn't show in the first half of the season.
I got a new and custom PC for Christmas, because of my achievements in real life. Although it costed quite a bit and I had to pay for it in equal thirds with my mum and dad, I really love it and it gives me a great and whole new experience of playing GTAV.
I only wonder what 2017 brings me with the crew, as well as real life.
If anyone is wondering of specs, I know some things about hardware but not much.
